Slade Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 They go to Phelps way too soon. He should be considered a late inning guy.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Crazy thing is the Gurriel ball actually had an xBA of .290, and the Chapman ball had an xBA of .950. Well that's strange. I'd love to see an explanation of that one.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Well that's strange. I'd love to see an explanation of that one. XBA doesnt take shifting or any defensive positioning into account, just LA, EV and distance
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 They go to Phelps way too soon. He should be considered a late inning guy. I don't mind using him to face the top of the order and going back to Thornton or Richards for the bottom half.
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 If we happen to grab the lead going into the 8th/9th...who pitches with Mayza and Romano down?
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 XBA doesnt take shifting or any defensive positioning into account, just LA, EV and distance Yes of course. That's why it's puzzling to see a harder hit ball in the same spot have a lower xBA. Maybe I'm just not remembering correctly and they were different.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 If we happen to grab the lead going into the 8th/9th...who pitches with Mayza and Romano down? Cimber and Jimmy probably. Maybe Merryweather.

el duque Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Tapia could even swing if the pitcher throws to 3rd base. I'll be happy the day the Jays get rid of him
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Tapia/Heinemann can't get a read on Montgomery
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Tapia and hynneman real ugly..please go away.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Since they are black holes, can we just fire them into space please.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Since they are black holes, can we just fire them into space please. You have my vote.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 All right, Bo/Vlad - lets get some damage done
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Yes of course. That's why it's puzzling to see a harder hit ball in the same spot have a lower xBA. Maybe I'm just not remembering correctly and they were different. It's because Chapman's was a little looping liner which almost always goes over the defense whereas Gurriel's was a groundball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Loaisiga wanted no part of Vladdy after what he did to him the last time.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 They scares of vlad..need a big hit here lourdes
el duque Verified Member Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Loasica keep walking people, is good for you
