He's just being acquired for WHAT HE IS and not what he could be. Any upside above his projections is just gravy.

You'd think they'd have a separate indication for that though rather than minors. Something like Non-active, non-roster, or reserve list or something IDK. Saying Minors is flat out misleading

Collins was actually optioned by Chicago though so the second we acquired him he was in the minors for us until we recalled him.

I hear you, but he is on the 40 and has to be included on roster. His status is probably NOT YET REPORTED. You get a couple of days after being traded to report, and you shouldn't have to count against the 28 man roster until you report.

Collins has an option year left. Chicago used it to option him before he was traded so we have the rest of this year to option him. So it makes sense he said minors after we acquired him he was in the minors at first. Zimmer should say Non-roster or something.
