It's spring training Gruber, guys like Teo aren't going 100%. No one wants to get injured in games that don't matter.

He took a horrible route. That is all.

Lol, no. That was probably a routine fly pushed out by the wind and it barely got out.

That was 102.5 mph off the bat. Pretty sure that's a home run, wind or not.

You may want to double check that with the launch angle.

Attaboy Santiago, get that ball in that wind and watch it goooooooo

He hit that 3-1 fastball well. Nice to see him ready to pound that.

I've actually been contemplating drafting Espinal as a late-round sleeper in several of my D&H leagues over the past few weeks. I think the muscle he put on over the off-season has him poised for a potentially big breakout.

His exit velocities in spring training so far have been reflective of a significant increase in strength.

Hicks cut off 15 lbs in the offseason

said the other day he thinks he can 30 / 30

how long before he gets hurt is the real question

Kind of like another CF we speak of when healthy.

Yes, could be good. He's always had a great plate approach, the knock on him has always been lack of power, if that's been taken care of......

I bet he can play CF, no problem

He's right mate?

I checked baseball savant, on 102 mph exit velocity with 35degree launch angle, it’s a HR 52% of the time.

So I concede that I’m half right, half wrong.

I doubt it, has he ever played out there?

Basically comes down to where it hit. Left centre to right center it’s mostly an out, then a double 3.4% of the time, and a triple 1% of the time. Anything foul poul to left centre, or foul pole to right centre, it’s a HR.

Projected distance on that in a neutral environment is about 370. His went 393. So….I guess we can say it could have been a home run, but the wind definitively helped it get to 393.
