Jared Walsh hits for the cycle. I always think guys with that body type will never get the triple.. He did it though!

That are the chances than Alejandro Kirk hits ONE (1) triple in his Major League career?

Probably high. Depending on how long he’s around. One of those pinballs deals

Yeah I think he has a relatively good chance because he's likelier than most to have 4 hit games

Remember Bengie Molina

The math and probabilities say the Division is gone with them at 42-16. Even with softer schedule ahead for us. Yanks are having a magical season where bad hitting catchers get walk off singles for you, and everything goes right. They have a lot of talent and they are producing collectively. Judge is carrying a load and doing what we hoped Vlad would, and hasn't been able to manage yet.

It sucks lol. I cant watch them. Lets win the home field wild card!

A wild card series in Toronto will be bananas, im excited for it.

Very exciting. In 2015 I travelled to go to 1st 2 games vs TEX. We lost both and Brett Cecil = Sucked. Never made Gm 5 but Jose smash video still gives me chills.

I consider 2021 a significant lost opportunity missing playoffs by a game (when we didn't address glaring holes soon and/or well enough). In a year ATL could win WS without Acuna Jr, Ozuna and Soroka. We had so many unicorn seasons we didn't capitalize on.

To not get past wild card series 2022 would be a massive disappointment for the org, burning another year or our core. OTOH there is no reason we can't be the 2022 ATL.

Yankees up 17 - 4 behind Matt Carpenter's 3-4 night, 2 HR, 7 RBIs (still going).

The dude has a .333 AVG and 1.535 OPS over 23 AB.

Unreal

And it's his first start in 9 days, after he homered in 3 straight games prior. We rightfully complain about Montoyo but Boone is a complete buffoon

Everything the Yankees do this season has turned to gold. It's really annoying. Wouldn't mind a flight of theirs crash landing on a mountain to shake things up.

Errrr

How about just a vintage Stanton injury and maybe some random monkeypox cases

The Yankees have built up a huge lead, but their top performers are also very injury prone (Stanton, Judge, Donaldson, etc.). The only true health red flags on the Jays are Springer and Ryu (and to a lesser extent Jansen).

One or two bad breaks for the Yankees and the division could turn into a dogfight quicker than you think.

COULD. Ya. I know. Sure. Lots can happen. It's baseball. Hey, DET could still win their division. I'm just talking pure math and probability. It's highly improbable, not impossible.

Just our luck that the moment our team looks like a legitimate World Series contender, the Yankees have one of the greatest 60-game stretches ever to start a season.

I think our offense will end up being better than theirs by end of season. Our team OPS is not that far apart, and they have a tougher schedule ahead. But their pitching is on another level right now.

If the WC isn’t a one game deal, it’s much better. That’s the bright side

It's funny, other than Judge none of their hitters are having a truly great season. Most of them are just doing okay to good and are on pace for like 1.5 to 3.5 WAR, with the exception of Gallo and Hicks who suck.

I think their rotation is a little bit flimsy. Cortes and Taillon have to be getting lucky. Same perhaps for Montgomery. Lots of injury risk across these guys too.

If we face them in the playoffs it's a coinflip IMO. Toronto has good enough arms if the SPs are healthy.

Gausman-Manoah-Berrios can go toe to toe with their top 3.

How dare you dismiss the great Matt Carpenter like that

Tigers have like a 1% chance to win the division, Jays have about 20%. If the Yankees lose 1 or 2 key players those probabilities can change dramatically. It's June.

It's not mental gymnastics because the Yankees have historically had a lot of injury problems and about half their starting lineup is made of glass.

Well I did say 'crash land'...I could've just gone with crash.

I feel like the “mountain” part suggests they aren’t walking off that plane lol. That’s my takeaway at least

Judge could feed the rest of the team for a month...

Yeah, but they would sacrifice Gallo first. Just sayin'
