connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Yeah thought they'd save the long man for tomorrow. Might have to burn through a bunch of 1 inning guys tomorrow and then be in trouble for a potential game Monday. Couldn't use Soria or someone? Pearson? He’s looked pretty sharp. At least 2-3?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 You take one game at a time..so hasn’t sunk it yet that our season is riding on Ryu

With the way Stripling has pitched, not sure he'd be the right guy to bring in if Ryu sucked early and they wanted to limit damage. My guess (hope) is it will be a bit of a bullpen game, where if Ryu looks bad early then they waste no time and pull him. I don't think that's how it will play out with Montoyo managing, but that should be the approach.
Inklink Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Why not just play Dyson instead.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Thats like 4 breaking balls in a row Vlad has just missed. Getting under it. So close to getting it
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 You take one game at a time..so hasn’t sunk it yet that our season is riding on Ryu Don’t kill my buzz. Have grown to dislike Ryu starts immensely. You could tell against the Yanks Tuesday night he wasn’t going to last long. Deep counts. Command off and couldn’t finish. The RHH bats on the Orioles might feast.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Alright one more win tomorrow, Rays and/or Nats need to come through.
Blastttoff Verified Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Nationals get one hit. Awesome
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Idgaf who doesn’t like me saying it, but 90 wins all things considered is impressive.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Idgaf who doesn’t like me saying it, but 90 wins all things considered is impressive. Agreed. Last time Jays made the wildcard they only had 89 wins. WC1 and WC2 were both at 89 wins. This year looks like its gonna take 91 wins for WC2 spot. Sucks.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Nationals are a tough watch. How did they even win the WS Basically the only leftover from that team is Juan Soto. Even the other contributors in Corbin, Strasburg (dead) and Zimmerman are shells of their former selves.
