Ray Verified Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Rays are not exactly hot right now, they have Franco on the DL, and their rotation is in complete disarray (Yarborough and Wacha are their only real starters, and Patino isn't with the team). Plus, we're at home where we've played really well. I know we're 5-8 against the Rays this season, but we've played them tough all season and definitely blew some games when our bullpen was still a trashfire. Might be famous last words, but I think taking 2 out of 3 is likelier than most people think.

DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 f*** Yarborough owns us, rather face Sherzer. Hopefully tonight they figure him out
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Lets go jays! Gotta keep the offense awake
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Need a good start from Manoah
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Brett Phillips looks like such a doofus with that AAA helmet
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Great start!! Woohoo Manoah
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Brett Phillips looks like such a doofus with that AAA helmet That's his whole shtick lol
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 2 hard hit balls....Rays lucky already.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 McHugh has a nasty curveball/slider.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Brett Phillips looks like such a doofus with that AAA helmet He reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 McHugh has a nasty curveball/slider. All of his pitches this inning were sliders and cutters. And everything was away with the exception of that front door slider to Vlad for called strike 1. Not hard to see the game plan there.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Author Posted September 13, 2021 Manoah has no-hitter stuff today.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 The Rays have exactly 1 hitter in their lineup with an OPS higher than .770 and it's Nelson Cruz. how they keep winning like they do is incredible.

I mean, they are 4th in the MLB in team wRC+ and have scored more runs than any other team by a large margin. They are just a really good team. Gotta tip your cap.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Manoah has no-hitter stuff today. Dunno man, he's leaving some pretty tasty meatballs up there so far that are getting hit right at the defense.

Its amazing the amount of runs they score with a seemingly mediocre lineup. They get the most out of their guys.

King Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Its amazing the amount of runs they score with a seemingly mediocre lineup. Franco is out, bro. And they have Lowe and Arozarena on the bench tonight.

Yeah some are injured right now, so that's a thing, but they still keep winning.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Manoah has no-hitter stuff today. Few hard hit balls already.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2021 Posted September 13, 2021 Well we’re not getting no hit today incase anyone was worried ; )
