Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Holy f*** this guy is throwing absolute meatballs. Safe to say he got throated? Absouletely dicked down.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Can we can resign both (Ray & Semien) because both will be looking for long-term deals while we need cash available for Vladdy/Bo in 2023 (if I am not mistaken)
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 I don't want to see any of Romano, Mayza, Cimber or Richards used today. Need them for NYY
rydermike Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 3 days ago: Oakland A's: "We're close to a Wild Card spot. Just need to do well against the Jays" A's pitchers: "Should we tell them what we're going to do?"
InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Semien 5/100, Ray 4/80? Orelvis our 3B of future. Trade Groshans for some more pitching.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Actually slighty intrigued by Jake Lamb addition. If he can run into a few Homeruns at the bottom of the lineup that would be fantastic.

No chance Ray only gets 4/80 at this point. You’re looking at 4/100 at the minimum. More if he wins the CY Young. And he will be looking at 5-6 years.

rydermike Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Jays up 7-0 in the 3rd Bo Sox losing 6-0 in the third Life is good
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 I think the only obstacle resigning Semien might be a team willing to offer him a Shortstop job. I have zero doubt they will be willing to pay him. But is he ready to give up Shortstop forever is the question. The fact that Semien went to the Jays knowing he wouldn't play SS leads me to believe that he will go to the highest bidder regardless. Whether the Jays will end up being the highest bidder for him this winter remains to be seen, but if they are, then I don't think he'll have an issue playing 2B full time and being Bo's backup at SS. Dude wants to get paid, can't blame him. I've said before, if you can get both Semien and Ray locked up on 4 year deals, then go for it. If it goes beyond 4 years, as it could for Ray, then they might have to go a different direction.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Jays up 7-0 in the 3rd Bo Sox losing 6-0 in the third Life is good Don't get cocky. Are you new to this bullpen? 1 pitch at a time.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Ray turned his career around here That doesn’t mess hes going to give us a sweetheart deal. Blue Jays will have to be his top bidder to regain his services.
rydermike Verified Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Don't get cocky. Are you new to this bullpen? 1 pitch at a time. I'm hoping for Ray to go at least 8 given his pitch count. Avoid the bullpen
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 If this lead holds this is the ideal game to get Pearson in there, need to get him right.
