Although Cimber recorded 1.1 innings of work yesterday, he only threw 11 pitches. Would it not have made sense to use Cimber in a tie game late instead of Barnes? Submariners usually don't wear as quickly as a traditional delivery also.

This team appears to be able to win consistently only when they hit the sh!t out of the other team’s pitching but ask to hold a close lead or come back from a run or two down and it’s like climbing Mt Everest in their Bermuda shorts and flip flops…one colossal downfall.

Doesn't matter. Alonso is clearly the centerpiece of that lineup and the batter that the most attention needs to be placed on and he literally JUST hit a bomb off of Borucki. Why put him in the position to do the same again?

Maybe they think tactical competency can be learned but attitude can't and they love Charlie's smile.
