Springer is on a high after being put back in the lead off spot and having a big day yesterday followed by the lead off double today. He temporarily went into Superman mode.

I agree. Hindsight is 20/20, but trying to take a bag running in a count and situation you don't expect. If he had made it he would have scored on Semien's fly ball. If he had stayed put we'd have Bo up with a runner on and 2 out. Probably not something you want to do on a regular basis or later in the game, but I can stand being aggressive early. Just a great throw and he didn't get the jump he needed.

With the speed Springer has and already in scoring position with Semien at the plate and Bo on deck, i'd say no. If this happened further down in the order, then possibly.
