I don't think Bauer even has a legal remedy available here. He would have to prove the decision was vindictive and biased. Good luck with that!

Is arbitration even available under the collective agreement for this? I doubt it. He would have to litigate which would probably take years anyway.

The investigators would make their findings and recommendation based on a balance of probabilities. The fact the DA considered laying charges but in the end decided the burden of guilty beyond reasonable doubt, much higher bar, could not be met, is pretty damning.

plenty of people don't get charged or found innocent in trial, and lose the civil suit. in no way, shape or form, is not being charged absolving from civil liability and action taken by employer

It seems I'm in a minority in liking Bauer. I find his on field antics entertaining, his YouTube is often interesting, he's a pretty good pitcher, and he had an interesting take on his contact.

Really I’ve always said TB’s goose is only cooked if they start coming in numbers. The original accuser has serious credibility issues

My first post on this was that the Bauer part goes nowhere unless there is corroboration ie. other women that Bauer did nonconsensual things to.

No Jim I was actually pretty spot on. Here's my first post on the matter.

 

Team Bauer has to be praising the heavens for this friend coming forward. Definitely shows some premeditation going on. Even so, this is the #MeToo era where "believe all women" automatically is the mantra. He likely skates on criminal charges but could still be subject to some sort of lengthy suspension. As evident by changing the All-Star game location over a milquetoast election law, Manfred has shown he has no balls and will cower in fear when the libs come after him.

You are still wrong mate. Politics wasn't a factor in the decision, it was based on the fact Bauer is a serial abuser.
