Idk if I’d necessarily want to sign Semien long-term. He’s already 30 and he’s gonna demand at least 100 million if he has a good season.

 

Not really a great idea to have multiple 30+ guys signed to big contracts IMO. Already have Ryu and George, don’t need a 3rd.

 

I think i’d rather sign a solid stopgap 3rd baseman type guy and go after pitchers instead.

I meant quiet as in people are going to look at it at the end of the season and be surprised that he was that good.

 

He's definitely testing free agency again, especially if he has the type of season it looks like he's going to have, but if the Jays had interest in a four year deal with him before settling on one, then they might have interest in bringing him back if he's also open to it. Depends on the cost obviously.
