Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Im pretty confident he’ll pick it up soon, but yeah with a 1 year deal there’s really no downside. If he IS bad for the entire season then we wash our hands clean Hes been pretty damn good with the glove at least. Our entire lineup has been pure trash outside of Vlad, Grichuk and Bo. Grichuk seems to be going back to normal while Bo has been average for his standards.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Zeuch and Roark both can’t be Blue Jays come Tuesday. There’s got to be better options at the Alt site. I refuse to believe there isn’t. I'm all for giving Zeuch a chance with our depleted pitching staff.. but did it really have to be during a tie game in Kauffman stadium, with a day off tomorrow? We shouldn't be winning a game with only 2 hits, but it was a winnable game until the 7th inning.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Imagine using Zeuch in the 7th inning of a tie game. lol
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Who was it saying Zeuch wasn't that bad? Horrid. DFA Grant.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Have no fear. The Diesel is getting hot in the pen. *sighs* Glad I fell asleep, two hits all game is another reason we lost, what a turrible game.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 They really couldn’t push the bullpen a little bit today? Mayza couldn’t throw a second inning. Absolutely mind boggling. Charlie has zero balls. Anyone in the pen should've been available, we have a day off tomorrow?! *sighs*
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 If we DFA Zeuch do you think he'd be claimed? lol... yes.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 It's embarrassing that Milone, Zeuch and Roark are all on this team. Fire up Manoah. It's time.
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 That game was painful. 4 players on the Jays have around 2/3rd's of the teams RBI's at this point. Yikes.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Grant. We're not exactly being fair to him asking to face the same team like 6 times in a row and switch back and forth between relief and starting. The velocity has been good and the stuff will play if he gets a consistent role.

Zeuch is balls.

He has been hammered by both righties and lefties, so making him a righty vs righty reliever won't really work. His only effective pitch is his slider, perhaps the best move would be to dramatically increase the usage up to the 40-50% range instead of feeding up his poorly commanded batting practice fastballs.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 19, 2021 Author Posted April 19, 2021 (edited) Painful of a game as I've seen in a long long time I can't believe we lost of 3 of 4 to the Royals Edited April 19, 2021 by G-Snarls

He has elite height. If he was 5'11" he'd never see the light of day given his stuff and track record.

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 I can't believe we lost of 3 or 4 to the Royals They spent in the offseason expecting to start winning this year. They currently have the 4th best record in baseball and some of that is thanks to us

Zeuch is balls. Ridiculous. Billy McKinney is hitting .320 this year following the career path of teenage wonder Justin Upton. Zeuch is not balls. Zuech is ground balls and the same scouts who recognized that 24 year old McKinney had the talent of 19 year old Justin Upton have starred Zeuch as an up and comer to watch. Keep watching the talent will show up eventually.
