That used to be the old rule. I swear they changed it that if you go out of your way to make contact then it is considered illegal. We've gotten screwed on that play a few times in the past. Very confused with the ruling here.

That is exactly the same play I remembered too and how we got called out there. Weird ruling but the inconsistent reply rulings happens too often.

Davis helped himself by keeping low and not making any other obvious effort to interfere. It was a normal slide, clearly within the base path, albeit at the edge.
