Kind of surprised the Angels are still rostering Pujols. This is the final year of that mega contract they have regretted for most of it.

So Vlad is Juan Soto now nice

It’s easy to forget after his slow start, but Vlad was the consensus #1 prospect in baseball just from of his bat, ahead of both Soto and Tatis. The only prospect that was ahead of Vladdy was Acuna when the hype train was on full steam.

Vladdy was graded 80 grade hit, 70 game power, 80 raw power when he was just 18 years old dominating double-A as the youngest player in the upper minors in 2018 & 2019.

If I remember correctly, Soto climbed up to #4 or 5 mid-season before he graduated. I think Tatis was the #2 prospect in baseball behind Vlad the following year (2019) when Vlad was #1 in back to back years.

Over/under 140 wRC+ for Vlad at the end of the regular season?

Hrmm... tough one.

Oh, nevermind, I thought you said 240...

Jansen has a good approach so why is he so bad? His batted ball profile must be terrible.

Pretty much... He doesn’t swing hard. He doesn’t hit the ball hard. Not a recipe for success. He looks like he swings a 20 pound bat.

Espinal and Davis hitting above Jansen, and those two plus Palacios all outperforming him in a laugher, has to just humble Danny terribly. Yikes he has a true AAAA stick.

Jansen looked very scrawny in one of those camera angles.

Also, let's be done with davis, palacios can stay

Palacios is a fringe CF at best. Davis can really go get it.

At this point we need to take Matz out of the game. He's had to wait an average of like 35 minutes per inning to pitch again.

I was just going to say this. Maybe one more inning, but it would be unwise to push him when it isn't necessary.
