Springer expected to miss Blue Jays' homestand with quad strain

Was surprised to hear that while he was taking batting practice during the rehab process, he wasn't fielding or running. Sounds a bit weird, especially now that he hurt his hamstring, but I'm sure they got smart people working there telling him what to do. Was probably miscommunicated.

He doesn't have a hamstring strain. That is a completely different muscle group.

Just an FYI to all, Springer has had 2 previous quad injuries in the past (on his other leg). One kept him out for 15 days and the other kept him out for half the season. Lets hope its just a 10-15 day thing.
