Glad we were able to get Panik in the lineup again!!

 

Tellez has been brutal thus far so from a managerial point of view giving him a day off to clear what ever is going on with him I don't really mind tbh. Semien has been carrying us and giving him a day off on the field while keeping his bat in the lineup seems like a great idea and this is exactly an instance where Panik should be used. At least Charlie has been willing to use pinch hitters, at times the wrong ones but he's willing nevertheless, so in a tight game in the late innings against a RHP I'm sure Tellez will be in play.

I have no issues with using the DH spot to rest starters, but then don't use the utility infield spot on Panik. He has sucked for 3+ years, and wasn't even the best utility IF option on the team during ST (Espinal). If the utility IF is going to play a lot then they should have splurged in free agency and overpaid for one with a bit more upside (Miller, Marwin, etc).

Thought this was apparent but I guess they want to stick with things. It's on the players to wake up anyways.
