I mean, it’s not like he’d hate him if he made $10m playing for NY. He’s a fan of the team and $10m to the Jays is something, so there’s nothing f’d up about that.

 

If you can accept the fact that it’s kind of dead money, RG isn’t so bad. He’s non-black hole depth. He is what he is. I’m ok with him for next 2 years, though def not a fan

I hate the contract. Not a fan of Grichuk as a player either (don't like high K, low walk, low OBP sluggers in general) but he's fine in his current role.

 

But no, I don't hate a player because of what he earns. As far as I'm concerned, I hope players maximize whatever money they can get.

Not sure if his contract is being overpaid by todays standards. That's probably an average salary for an average outfielder!

Im sure his next contract he will be paid more by either the Jays or someone else!
