My main point was that Tabler was lucky he didn't say anything worse. He clearly had no idea why German was suspended. As there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Even then, there's no merit if Tabby's dumb. Time was served in the MLB justice system, people maybe should worry about German himself or critique that suspension, but it has no bearing on a Tabby Derp, he's in the MLB, period. Same goes for Odubel and others... they've paved their walkway.

Ya agreed he's the captain out there but he would have had sprint to get it. If your LFer calls the ball that early, you trust he will get it. Now Springer will keep that in mind for any ball Biggio calls and I assume he will go harder next time. It's part of learning/trusting your new teammates and he will realize quickly that he has to get every ball possible. Gurriels dive yesterday didn't help matters here lol.

Palacios has had a great spring, Jays saw something at the Alt Site to protect him. Interesting guy to follow perhaps.

 

Ya I was hearing that he had a chance to beat out Davis for the 5th OF spot earlier on and be an actual contributor to this year's squad.

It was one of our reporters on the Good Show (Shi I think). He picked one player who people didn't know about that could surprise us and contribute to the team this year.

I will watch the game later but Roark was down a couple MPH so far this spring. A veteran pitching against poor spring batting lineups can get through. I suspect we will see more of the same from Roark this year. Unplayable in almost all situations. Hope I am wrong.

 

90% of the posters on hear know why the Yankees pitcher was suspended. No excuse for a broadcaster who makes his living off baseball to not be aware. The best thing about broadcasts last season was no Tabler. i will not watch a single inning with the volume on with him in the booth. OLD, SENILE, unprepared are a bad trifecta for awful announcing.

I will watch the enemies broadcast as a last resort.

Actually his velo has seen an uptick, his peripherals are good and he tossed BP this game in the first inning, go search for what you want, but Roark is still Roark, he'll be far more useful to this club than last season, imo. As for the latter who gives a f***. German was suspended 80 games and served that penalty, STFU!

Just checked the Boxscore. Glad it was really just Roark that got smashed. Would hate to see arms with actual promise get hammered too.

I’ll say that he only deserved to get charged with 4 instead of 7 runs, but yeah, he was getting his tits lit.

 

Anthony Kay looked quite good. He was hitting 97 mph on his fastball by the end of his outing. Still some trouble locating, but I’ve been impressed with him this spring. He’s been mixing his pitches real well.

Watching Roark today and seeing Paxton strike out Yelich with a 96 mph heater on twitter today makes me sick to my stomach. I wish we would have signed paxton and punted Roark.
