I can't wait to read all the comments from Jays fans attributing the Braves success to AA. That one year deal to Ozuna and then inheriting everyone else was definitely a sign of genius. Time for the Dodgers to reel off 3 straight.

I find it funny that AA seems to acquire all these former players from the Jays and other teams in the AL east. Donaldson, Markakis, D’arnaud, O’day, Bautista, Cervelli, Hechavarria, Joyce, Brach, Gausman, Flaherty, and more.

I only went back and checked the Braves’ roster for the past 3 seasons.

He’s basically a fan that just signs players he knows, and they’ve pretty much all worked out so far.

d'Arnaud worked out pretty good for AA this year. Adam Duvall, locked up Albies and Acuna, Chris Martin trade, O'Day - those are all pluses on top of the Ozuna signing which has been huge. Even the Hamels signing was solid (even though it didn't work out). I don't think it's fair to completely s*** in AA.

Yeah not saying he's been bad, but he walked into a pretty difficult situation to mess up, so the AA boot licking by a segment of Jays fans is going to be pretty annoying if (likely when) the Braves make the WS.

I still hate him for f***ing up the rebuild by going in too early in 2013. The Donaldson trade almost salvaged a WS but still, f*** him.

Also Donaldson last year.

I'm still not sure if AA has signed a bad contract in his life but it looks like Will Smith might be it.

The Albies ripoff contract evens it out LOL

Most believe that was a Beeston decision, not AA.

You know what's annoying you constantly repeating this crap about the Braves and Rays, you dwell in your own posts, FFS's.

Considering I haven't mentioned AA in any post in probably years before this series, and it was barely a mention at all (just that I didn't want to root for his team), I think you might have started the sauce a little early tonight.

But yes, the Rays and Braves is the worst possible World Series for baseball. If it annoys you, then it's worth repeating.

No sauce, thanks, yes it annoys me since the teams were set. Rinse and Repeat...

I actually think Acuna's contract was the biggest ripoff of the two. If his two options are picked up in '27-28, he'll make $68 million in what would have been his first four free agent years. So instead of being a free agent after his age 26 season and possibly looking at $200-300 million (depending on what the market looks like by then), he'll have to wait until he's 31 to get on the open market for the first time.

I'm torn between giving props to AA and feeling bad for the players. But yes, smooth move by Alex either way.

That's fine, but we were discussing AA, a topic that wasn't talked about before, so I was confused why you thought I was repeating anything.

I mean, I'm sure I'll be complaining again if at least one of LA/HOU don't advance, but AA slander is a separate topic. You'll be on my side when the Braves advance and all you see on Jays social media is Shatkins hate.

Pache just missed that... Seager's a boss!

Pache should have been in a lot better position to make an attempt at that - pretty weak effort

You know whats the absolute best about the playoffs this year? The universal DH. Nobody misses seeing pitchers hit. Even the old school broadcasters haven't mentioned it.

The DH must be here to stay. Thank God...a decision that's about 25 years late.

Yeah, still just missed it, it was a HR Brownie, lol.

Pache has been quite good, 21 yr old with his first taste of MLB hasn't looking overmatched at the plate at all, has been a tough out

He's talking about the attempt to catch Seager's dinger, Jim.
