Is merryweather gonna go the rest of the way?

Possibly but that would surprise me.

I've seen Romero hit 98 fairly regularly, I'm guessing he's hit 99 also.

yeah this BP is a lot more intimidating than a year ago (when they are all in the lineup)!

Call me crazy but I think Merryweather will be better than Pearson next year. Obviously age is a big difference but im slotting him ahead in the rotation.

Depends if Pearson is healthy and finds his command again. I have my doubts he was overly healthy to begin with. His inconsistent velocity was a major indicator of that.

Who is this Romero you speak of? :P

Hey man, I just woke up :P (worked 22 of 30 hours between noon yesterday and 6pm tonight...)

This a very interesting spot to use a top pitching prospect. But you do what you gotta do

Look at that on base percentage for Panik. Wow. Throughly impressed how he came on after his god awful start

Merryweather's FIP and xFIP actually went up after his 2 inning, no hit (1 walk, 1 k) performance.

He's been such a pleasant surprise, I'm super high on him.

Panik can't hit the ball out of the infield but pitchers walk him 99% of the time

He's always had a very good eye. 9.7% K rate is elite. 8.2% walk rate for someone with that little power is also very good.

Somehow his sprint speed has even bounced back to where it was when he was a rookie. He didn't always suck, he was a 4 WAR player in 2015 and a 2 WAR player in 16 and 17. I wonder if he was playing hurt the past two years.

Big stuff will be nice to see him in the rotation but he was missing a lot today. His stuff is overpowering though.

Having Rowdy at 1B and Vladdy DH would be even better.

I mean, the 20 MPH difference between his fast ball and changeup is just absurd.

Nice win guys, way to go!
