Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 (edited) Rowdy's OPS up to .868. My man Rowdy! 129 wRC+ 15.9 K% 9.3 BB% .266 ISO https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/rowdy-tellez-642133?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb Statcast numbers look good. He's looking pretty legit these days fellas. I don't know if it sticks, but kudos for him for his hard work - he's lost a ton of weight, improved his body, his defense, his speed and his swing path - all while overcoming a very difficult time with the loss of his mother. It's one of the greatest things about watching sports to see guys like him 'make it'. And I believe he will. He may never be a 'star' but I think he is every bit the player as someone like Justin Smoak has been and likely a bit better!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 It's so much easier to take when the opposition beats you rather than you beating yourself.

The Jays have won 21 games, 11 of them by 1 run. The loss column isn't much different. It's been a weird run......

The baserunning errors are more obvious, but the performance of our hitters in game 2 was as bad as anything we have seen this year. That was some good hittin' as Josh Donaldson would say. We didn't capitalize on a plethora of bad pitches in the middle of the plate and hitters counts.
