It's not over yet. The Canucks can still disappoint us.

Then you're missing out on some of the disappointment experience.

I was told the Canucks would lose. I was lied to.

You always play your best players when in a playoff race. We will never be a winning team with Dumbtoyo. When we win games it is despite his stupidity.

We are 1 to 2 years away from making the world series anyways IMO, so you might as well let Montoyo run out his contract and either fire/replace him in his 3rd year (2021), or not renew the year after (2022)

Baseball can be a crazy game. This team has lots of holes. But anything can happen once you are in. We didn’t give up anything to add to the team which was a solid approach. Teo is 28 and heathy. We haven’t scored much. So he sits him and all of a sudden Villar is a 3 spot bat. It’s a 60 GM season not 162. I think he is arb eligible and would like to keep putting up numbers. DET sucks and are 1/2 game back so put Teo in the order. I just can’t stomach or fathom Buntoyo. As I’ve said before he is the chick from Major League movie trying to tank the team.

I’m not one to blame the Mgr for all and I don’t think normally they add or take away much. But Charlie is a special breed of clusterf***. If I have to watch more Jansen and Panik pop up sac bunts in Charles attempts to give up outs, I will need therapy. He seems to be nice man. Painfully poor manager.

I'd love to see some analysis on this, but he must be slowing down his arm action on that change up. Has anyone ever seen someone with a 20 MPH differential between the fastball and change up? I haven't.

I was trying to figure this out last night and watched a number of videos.

Marco Estrada used to say that he would manipulate his leg drive on his changeup. Keeping the arm action the same is the whole point but I think he would drive less with his lower half to cleave off velocity.

With Merryweather, I think he actually does something funny with his grip. If you grab a still frame when his arm is set, the ball appears to be sitting in the palm of his hand and his fingers aren't even touching the ball. I think he's doing a unique type of palmball changeup. It's like a circlechange/palmball. This might also explain why his changeup command is virtually non-existent (an abnormal amount of high changeups).

It's rare but there have been guys historically who had larger than normal changeup differentials. Fernando Abad does.
