BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 JD would cost maybe one good prospect + eat his contract.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I wonder what the price on JD Martinez would actually be... They might give him away for free tbh. Or even part with a prospect. Otherwise C+/B level prospect and Boston eats a portion of the contract.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 5 from Chase, I'll take it
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Anderson 5 IP, good stuff. Back to batting practice
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I'd try to squeeze one more out of Chase, but Montoyo probably won't.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Shun Yamaguchi is starting tomorrow. I don't know why they won't announce it.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Shun Yamaguchi is starting tomorrow. I don't know why they won't announce it. They would have a massive audience from Japan if they did.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 26, 2020 Author Posted August 26, 2020 5 from Chase, I'll take it And only 2 earnies I'd try to squeeze one more out of Chase, but Montoyo probably won't I would warm up an arm in the pen and let him pitch to at least 1 more batter in 6th
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Shun hasn't pitched since the 20th. He pitched 2.2 innings with 4Ks and no hits and no runs with 54 pitches thrown. He was stretched out because of necessity. He was a big part of that 9 to 8 win against the Phillies. He's the logical choice to start tomorrow. He could probably throw 70 pitches.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 The only way I want Martinez if they ate some of his contract. Atleast 25% he makes way to much for a DH. And clogging the DH spot is something I would prefer they didn’t do.

He is no doubt going to be starting, unless he is injured.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 We really need a blowout so one of the starters can finally extend. 2 bullpen days this week means the 3 man bench isn’t going away. Yeah, that's why I put that tweet up in the Jays thread. This season has so much f***ery to it.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 He is no doubt going to be starting, unless he is injured. I actually feel pretty good about Shun starting. He's looked pretty decent his last couple outings. He got a bit of a raw deal at the start of the year. He was put in a couple tough situations to make your first couple appearances in the league.

He was a starter in Japan so it will be nice to see what he can do in a situation he is more familiar with.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Hopefully they can go the rest of the way: Anderson 6IP Font 2IP Bass 1IP
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Yamaguchi has actually looked fine in every outing he didn’t come into the 10th inning in a tie game with a runner at second. I blame Montoyo more than Yamaguchi for that.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Leadoff walk is the worst.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 f*** Anderson walked him. Charlie might never try this concept again : (
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 That was the fastest I've ever seen Buntoyo pop out of the dugout. Loves to take starters out.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 This inability for a starter to go 6 innings is frustrating.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 Iassogna behind the plate, that makes sense, now. WTF???
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 I missed that Bo's starting baseball activities this weekend. He might be back by mid next week.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 26, 2020 Posted August 26, 2020 If Font, Gaviglio, and Bergen are the only 3 relievers used today, that would be a win.
