Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Still don't know how i feel about these uniforms. Seems like they're going to it more and more now. Powder blues are always ugly, were ugly in the 80's too.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Powder blues are always ugly, were ugly in the 80's too. The hats are stellar, and I like these powder blues 100x more than than the old pullover ones.

I agree that hats are good but they're not really the same cause only the bill is powder blue and the base colour for the hat is dark blue.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 What the, allowing Borucki to pitch more than 1 inning? MADNESS, CHUCK, MADNESS!!!
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 At this rate Borucki will get to face 6 batters by 2022.
TheDragon Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Baby blue looks okay on Biggio and Bichette. Vlad not so much for obvious reasons. Please do tell
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Mike Trout 172 wRC+ Randal Grichuk 190 wRC+ Let’s call the Angels right now. You can clearly see why the Angels picked Grichuk ahead of Trout now. The prophecies foretold it.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Teo redeemed himself a bit Espinal putting it together...great to see
Ray Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Grichuk just barely missed his third homer today lol. Everything today has been hit hard by him.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 You can clearly see why the Angels picked Grichuk ahead of Trout now. The prophecies foretold it. Grichuk > Trout ?
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Vladdy now with the two hardest hit balls this game, 106 on that single, 107.8 on his fly out last AB.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Get it in the air deep enough Drury. Fk. Good job Drury. Nice swing by Vlad.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 That's another part where his conditioning really hurts that much more. Last season or ST Vlad could have gotten to second there, so he limits his own production by being out of shape. Nice swing though. That's back to back line drives to the outfield.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Grichuk > Trout ? 24 Randal Grichuk Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim[Compensation 3] Outfielder Lamar Consolidated High School (TX) 25 Mike Trout Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim[Compensation 4] Outfielder Millville Senior High School (NJ) It was never in doubt.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Shaw has been pretty decent For sure. Been steady on D and solid wRC+. If he keeps it up close to that $4mm is a steal.

That wall in RF has turned a couple of doubles into singles this series, so it's not just Vladdy...
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 In all seriousness though - this is why the Jays locked up Grichuk when they did. They felt there was potential to take the next step as a hitter, while the floor was super high at $10M per I said at the time, you only sign him to that extension if you feel he has an extra gear in him, not because of status quo. If the Jays are right and he takes a step forward, then that's a good sign for their player development. They did a similar thing with Smoak and it worked out pretty well.

Yeah but the ball was in the air long enough that I think that someone in average shape at least has to attempt going to second. Hell Shaw took a riskier gamble yesterday on a single to RF and he still almost made it. I'm being nitpicky, I loved everything about the swing, just venting frustration.

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Romano to finish in the 9th and we sweep the O's
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Montoyo going to let Hatch finish this game? That seems to reasonable.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Montoyo going to let Hatch finish this game? That seems to reasonable. I'd keep him in, but Buntoyo might have other ideas.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Dwight Smith Jr. is just a disaster of a player.

Ray Verified Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I vaguely remember reading some outcry directed at this front office for trading Dwight Smith Jr. to the Orioles for int'l pool money.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Gurriel’s bat is heating up some more
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Dolis coming in... rather stick with Hatch
