Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 I can't believe that the Red Sox, with their current rotation, would be given those odds.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 I can't believe that the Red Sox, with their current rotation, would be given those odds. Because of their offense, still crazy though... I feel the Jays are on par or better.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Lol Confirmed..... They have good wings!!
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Why not share a stadium with yankees or mets?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Why not share a stadium with yankees or mets? They are playing in Buffalo, it is confirmed.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 The city is ready for the Blue Jays, but are the buffalo wings ready for Vlad Jr?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 The city is ready for the Blue Jays, but are the buffalo wings ready for Vlad Jr? Mac, get on the horn with Tyson, we are going to need a few more truck loads of wings!

glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 For all you minor league buffs, what is the park in Buffalo like? Good for pitchers, hitters, neither? I guess one benefit is that the Jays have so many young players who played there that at least there will be familiarity. Time to make some sweet Buffalo Blue Jays merch.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 What about the lighting situation? I thought they said it is not good enough They are working on, might not be ready for the opening games but should be good for Aug 11. Similar dimensions as the Rogers Centre, I expect it to be a launching pad.

Tbf the Red Sox could have the hitting to get to a .500 record and a likely playoff spot, but yeah I wouldn't think they'd be odds on at all. IMO both them and us should be more around 50/50 making it.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Buffalo screaming pick me! Jays say "we'll stay in Toronto". Toronto rejects the Jays. Buffalo "still here". Jays say lets go to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh fools around with the Jays but their parents say no way is this relationship going to happen. Buffalo says "look at me, I'm naked and laying down for you". Jays say "Oh Baltimore, you are the cesspool of America's north (but still better than 80% of the south) but at least you aren't Buffalo" Jays would like to announce they are in a relationship with Buffalo. "Now lets discuss the improvements you need to make" Still the most wanted Buffalo has ever felt

Similar dimensions as the Rogers Centre, I expect it to be a launching pad. It’s not. It’s close to the lake and wind often blows into the stadium which is bad for fly balls. I think the dimensions are pretty symmetrical but it doesn’t heavily favor hitters. All our kids have played there so there’s some familiarity. There’s also a real spacing issue with small club houses.

Between 5 and 10% lower than average for hitters. I think Baseball Ref's 5 year regressed PF for Sahlen was 94.

max silver Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Boy, you sure hate Puig. Actually sounds kinda racist tbh. You know you're the last person on here that can start to call out other posters for racist posting right? I just so happen to think that Teoscar (Dominican guy) and Gurriel (Cuban born) are both better options going forward than Puig.

Try taking yourself less seriously.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2020 Posted July 24, 2020 Seems like Nate Lowe has nowhere to play in TB. We should try to nab him.
