This article says he even put on a Boras hat!

Savage move. That said, I would give up something of great value for the Jays to sign this guy up. One can dream.

Clint you're not going to start spamming your site again, are you?

Nats losing their franchise player in the off-season, getting in as a wildcard then beating both the best teams in the NL and AL on their way to the title is going to go down as one of the all time great playoff stories!

Not to mention the 19-31 start 50 games into the season. They were the best team in baseball from that point on.

The guy doesn't give a f*** lol.

All while sporting a brand new Boras Corp. hat on his head, lol. I wonder if he was pissed Hinch didn't bring him in after Grienke, or if he had this planned all along. I suppose the latter.

Pedro Martinez just congratulated Montreal and Canada on MLB Network and mentioned the Expos legacy... so there, nyah!

He didn't mention Puerto Rico? They are part of the legacy too. And I think Tony Armas Jr. should also be proud. Did they talk to Bartolo Colon? All big factors in this WS win.

What a salty bitch. Teams probably won't care because he's really good at beisbol, but it seems like Cole has spent his entire life as an entitled **** who never developed the 'team player' characteristic. I mean be salty at your manager if you really did want in the game, but don't disrespect your teammates and organization like that. This organization and staff helped take you from a middling starter to a top 3 starter in baseball and you're about to reap the rewards of that to the tone of $240M+

That type of disrespect is f***ing embarrassing.

If all these people actually supported the Expos when they were the Expos, they would still be the Expos

Can you do some mod magic so I can thank this twice?

I can't even get you your status. I think I'm losing privileges.

Haha, what?

Unnoticed is probably the wrong choice of words, but Strasburg has definitely been underrated during his career, relatively speaking.

8th best FIP and xFIP in baseball last 3 seasons. Better than Verlander.

Good World Series in the end

Congrats to the Nats

Happy to see them win it after a heck of a year for them

What I don't get is people fawning over the team over the four road wins. The only way that can happen is by losing three at home which is a pretty chumpy feat. I'd rather give credit to a team that was 2-0 at home and 2-0 on the road.

Being a starting pitcher, he can get away with being a douche better than most other athletes in a team sport setting. All he needs is to be on a good working relationship with his catcher and that's it. Sit on the far end of the bench and pout for four out of the five days for all I care.

His little outburst is a good thing for the Jays, if we are still allowed on here to contemplate the small possibility of a deal. It'll take a few teams out of the running that base their decisions on "character", which I don't think the FO is like that at all. The irony of recent events with Osuna aside. At least it pretty much seals his fate out of Houston. 1/29 possibility as opposed to 1/30.

On May 28, the Nationals had less than a 0.1% chance to win the World Series. In the playoffs, they won five elimination games. In the World Series, they won four road games. We will never see anything like this again.

But, you know, if the St. Louis Blues do something similar....LOL @ NHL parity!

Yeah, lol... I thought of that a few weeks back, the exact same thing. Nothing different, but sport. f*** those turds and lol.... NHL, it doesn't happen in the NBA cause players run the top heavy teams.

... I don't follow hockey :-(

It's just been an all around weird year for sports. Blues, Nationals, hell even us poor Toronto folk get thrown a bone with the Raptors. Stupid Tom Brady ruined it though.

I like that they won as the oldest team in baseball. They went out in the offseason and brought in old guys making a few million instead of giving the spots to league min rookies: Kendrick, Suzuki, Dozier, Sanchez, Asdrubal in July, and obviously they paid big money for Corbin too. They don't win the World Series (or even make the playoffs) if they do what most other teams did and refuse to pay money for veterans that that have a higher floor than a league min AAA guy. Maybe free agency will be a bit more interesting this year.

If things continue as they have, we might see more teams win with a high average age, as the teams that pounce on cheap veterans end up picking up significant wins on the back half of their roster.
