Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Zeuch gets the start tonight. Thank god no more openers
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 We still have a shot at the 4th overall pick. Only 2 games in the loss column behind KC. They are in a decent run of form as well. Hopefully we can continue to pile up the L’s while they play atleast .500. 3rd overall looks a lot less likely. Relying on the Marlins to put wins together is bleak at best. Its crazy that 5 teams are on pace to lose 100 games or more this year.

Generally not a fan of tanking, but I would love to see how this front office approaches the draft with a high pick + a larger bonus pool.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 That was a hell of a throw.

The Blue Jays were 7-1 against the Royals this year so they own the tiebreaker. They'll have to be a game worse than KC.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Not that I expected Tellez to come through there, but that was some ugly umpiring, and you could tell even w/o the box.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 seriously, why do we need to play smoak and Grichuk right now.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Man, you guys still watching this s*** have my respect.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 hello....the jays can afford betts
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 hello....the jays can afford betts Is that the best place to spend the resources? I'd be happy to pick him up, obviously, but I would rather buy a top-flight pitcher in our situation.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Not a good start so far
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Man, you guys still watching this s*** have my respect. some guys like numbers....others actually like watching ball!
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I hate giving the green light 3-0, and that is why.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Man, you guys still watching this s*** have my respect. Seriously. I know Jays fans are used to mediocrity, and not outright dog s*** tanking, but seasons like this are absolutely brutal to sit through. I hope we are not still tanking next season.

I'd rather buy a top flight pitcher, but if none will come here I'd rather spend the money on betts than sign a couple second tier pitching options.

Have you looked at the starting rotation for next year? Pearson won't be up till at least a month into the season. Given his lack of innings it might be later than that. We might add 10 maybe even 15 wins, but we aren't going to be good next year either.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 There are 15 MLB games being played tonight. fair enough..
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 There are 15 MLB games being played tonight. It's called being a Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Lol Fisher is such a zero
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Fisher with 10Ks in his last 17 plate appearances....I'm sure glad I get to watch that.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 at a boy davis. I think Davis has an actual shot at cracking the 25 man next season.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I think Davis has an actual shot at cracking the 25 man next season. I'd take him over the likes of Hernandez and the fish At least he makes contacts
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 I'd take him over the likes of Hernandez and the fish At least he makes contacts It's also the fact he plays a very good CF and is a great base runner.

They definitely seem to rate him a lot higher than Alford. It's nice to see a guy who can play defense in the outfield. He needs to get the bat going though. He could be a decent 4th outfielder though.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
