Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Bo has made some very pretty plays the last couple of days.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Lets go Birds, put up a crooked number.
wk680 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 If we finish out the season with 30 wins and 8 losses we will finish at .500 Yeah that's obviously going to be a stretch. BUT, the Jays are 21W and 20L since the mid-way point (at which they were 29W - 52L). If they go .500 for the remaining 40 games, that would be 41W - 40L for the 2nd half, which is pretty good, considering they gutted the pitching staff at the trade deadline. And people, save the 'Sanchez was no good anyway' responses.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Great hit, hustle, and slide from Vlad
wk680 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Well done Font!!! He has the stuff to become a successfull MLB pitcher In case people haven't noticed: Font now has opened 4 games with 8 1/3 ip and zero runs allowed over those appearances. That's a nice little run, but the guy was not very good in 29 prior appearances this season (5.09 ERA).
wk680 Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Great hit, hustle, and slide from Vlad Vlad is a very 'awkward looking' in his running, but he does always seem to be hustling, so I appreciate watching him run the bases.

Also, ERA is for know nothings.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Calhoun's positioning is so awkward. For a short, kinda fat guy he plays super shallow and never seems comfortable going back on the ball.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Teoscar continues his surge. He made that high fastball above the zone look like it was a meatball.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 TEO made that HR look easy... Dude has power.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Attaboy Billy! Lol @ Teoscar hurrying back to fetch the seeds.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 I'm really liking this team... Please get some pitching Shatkins.

ERA is not useless, it just only tells part of the story. You have been around long (and I emphasize the word long) enough to know that Jimbobby

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Nice play McKinney, have a game.

Relievers you can pick up anywhere but quality starters are much harder to find. Rogers might have to start spending some money on FA's

Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 They were saying on the radio that Giles is ready to go
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Bautista has accumulated more WAR in his 2011 season than Odor has in his entire career.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Were the meetings with the training staff about Giles?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
