Really not a fan of Thornton. I remember reading somewhere recently that he said he is trying to pitch to contact more, but it wasn't because of Walker.

Well, he better use something else than that side to side slider, his curve is a much better pitch. He's trying to stick as a starter, but the problem is he only has two decent pitches. He has the makings of a decent multi inning guy, that's about it.

Probably because it took him 90 pitches to get through 3 innings before, but if he's trying to pitch to contact he'll get creamed. I see him as a RP long term, a multi inning type, and maybe that's where he'll shine. I don't think he's a starter, but no harm in giving him a chance.

The last few weeks the young guys have been stepping up for the jays. With better pitching this team might be a contender in a year or two.

I'm also liking the way Biggio is hitting the ball. His average could be higher but at least he's hitting. Unlike some players the jays have or even playing.
