Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 There's no chance Grichuk doesn't score on that if the ball stays in play.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 Umpire fat shaming. They don’t think he would have scored because hes fat Grichuk's fat?
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Pham basically gets away with booting it in the crowd? I don’t get the mlb
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 If I'm the Jays in this game, and the Rays hit a double down the line with a runner at first, I'm "accidentally" shoveling the ball into the stands to save the run.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Vlads performance makes me sad Oh you poor baby

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Okay, so the official ruling is that it's considered a ground rule double. If I'm the players, I'm exploiting this every time I can on defense. He'll, I'd be openly practicing it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 What a messed up rule, 2 bases from the time it's pitched? So basically no penalty.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 That rule is fine, but the ball clearly wasn't deflected into the stands. It had already come off the wall. He bobbled it into the stands.

He bobbled it into the stands. Yeah, two bases from when he touched it would make sense. Exploit it heavily until MLB fixes the rule. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if TB may have done that intentionally. They're always looking for ways to get an edge, and they're desperate for the wins right now.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 While the throw to second was perfect and stopped the damage from going any further, I feel like Jansen could have waited back on the ball and potentially have gotten the tag down for an out. That was an excellent throw from LF by Gurriel.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Welp... f*** this game. D'arnaud....RA Dickey trade just keeps on giving.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 d'Arnaud with a 126 wRC+ and 1.3 WAR since being traded to the Rays. I swear, that org could turn one of us into a big league player.

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Time to get a new hitting coach
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 We cant hit an inside pitch for 1 million dollars...that's just bad coaching imo
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Drury can't hit or field We traded happ for him
Ex Player Verified Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 At least we got some good pitching tonight
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 Pathetic performance by the team No one even bothers questioning this coaching staff
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 27, 2019 Posted July 27, 2019 That's the problem with these tank seasons, they can be awfully demoralizing and it can affect the performance of the young players. Young players coming up in an atmosphere of success can be invaluable.
