Problem is they LITERALLY have no one but Stroman (maybe Borucki who may be back soon) that is any good, and Stroman likely to be soon traded. And everyone at AAA sucks right now also.

I don’t think Thornton is a SP long term but they really have no choice but to throw him out there. Options are limited. Without Stroman this is going to get a lot uglier.

Thornton is a serviceable back end starter at league minimum, he's put up 1.4 fWAR coming into this start. Sanchez/Richard/E-Jax have been utter s***.

Damn I wasn't paying attention to McKinney's AAA numbers since he was sent down, but 14.4 BB%, 14.4 K%, 124 wRC+, .227 ISO. Pretty good. I mean he still probably sucks, but worthy of a promotion over Tellez.
