Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Orioles pitchers continue to stymie us. How annoying.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Ahh... Game Over! Buck and Tabby, really, walk Davis?? *logs out* That discussion about how the Jays were pitching to Davis was f***ing brutal. Can't pitch to Davis because he's an RBI guy! 49 wRC+ hitter Buck...he's f***ing terrible....you don't intentionally walk a 49 wRC+ hitter with a K% of 40 you f***ing moron. That's one of THE worst exchanges I've ever heard Dumb and Dumber say on air.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Sanchez suxxx. If they don't send him down and he stays healthy he might get a 20 loss year.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Holy f*** SANCHEZ is SUCKASS 2 earnies over 5 innings is pretty good actually. Its his control that needs work, he walked 4
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 Last year for sure. This year he looked alright in LF and has probably been at best below-average in CF. He's looked fine to me in CF, like I said, I don't like the metrics.

tbad Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I thought Guerrero was supposed to be a sure thing?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 I thought Guerrero was supposed to be a sure thing? Trade the bum!!!!!!
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 He's looked fine to me in CF, like I said, I don't like the metrics. I hear you on metrics but I don't trust my lying eyes either!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 He's looked fine to me in CF, like I said, I don't like the metrics. Jeter looked fine at SS for years too, and every single defensive metric available tells us he was hot garbage there. The eye test tells us Hernandez hasn't really done anything too well out there except catch routine balls, as a CF you have to do a lot more than that.

But what, was there balls he should've gotten too? Or does the org have better information, amongst others. I legit believe defensive prowess is far ahead than the numbers we see.

BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Question is now will Atkins and this Team Send Sanchez down to buffalo before Sunday and the 5 Year Rule ??? Thoughts whatÂ’s the BJMB temperature on it Either way ???
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 There most likely have been a number of plays that he hasn't made that an average CF would make. Yeah, likely. We don't know though, lol.

5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 To be frank, I don't trust defensive metrics, but that's just me. Me neither. Have you ever looked at Roberto Alomar's defensive metrics? No f***ing way those are accurate stats!
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 2 earnies over 5 innings is pretty good actually. Its his control that needs work, he walked 4 Against the Orioles though haha
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 Me neither. Have you ever looked at Roberto Alomar's defensive metrics? No f***ing way those are accurate stats! Yeah, and he left my jaw dropped on so many occasions. I was just moving into my twenties, he was incredible.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Yeah, and he left my jaw dropped on so many occasions. I was just moving into my twenties, he was incredible. For sure man, one of the best I've seen. I can't believe the metrics have him as a bad defender.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Author Posted July 6, 2019 For sure man, one of the best I've seen. I can't believe the metrics have him as a bad defender. He was positioned differently, likely, he got to everything which would hurt him, meh...
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 There most likely have been a number of plays that he hasn't made that an average CF would make. Well I doubt the Metrics adjusts for actual straight line speed of the player , Wind sun and lights nore the actual curve or flight either In calculations ... ie is it park adjusted as well There is a Difference between Quick and Fast When we are talking speed ! Quick is short burst Fast is like a Forty You may arrive at the end or finish in similar times but arrived in different styles !
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I thought Guerrero was supposed to be a sure thing? Lol at this dumb.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I thought Guerrero was supposed to be a sure thing? True , but neither was the Movie !!! Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I thought Guerrero was supposed to be a sure thing? Have a look at Mike Trout's first crack at the majors in 2011. Or Alex Rodriguez in '94-'95. He'll be just fine.
