Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Career changing homerun for Jansen
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 That was an enjoyable game. Vlad, Biggio and Jansen all homered.
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Guess Stroman left with discomfort lmao
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Impressed by the young hitters lately. Good sign. No bring Bichette up.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Impressed by the young hitters lately. Good sign. No bring Bichette up. S'up? lol
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 Impressed by the young hitters lately. Good sign. No bring Bichette up. I could see them leaving him down until the trade deadline, when the roster probably has a few spots open up.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 I could see them leaving him down until the trade deadline, when the roster probably has a few spots open up. Bichette will be here no later then August 1st. Assuming he’s healthy. Probably whenever Galvis and Sogard are dealt.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2019 Posted June 29, 2019 S'up? lol Just chillin, watching baseball.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Just chillin, watching baseball. Just busting balls on your quote, lol
glory Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 This is what we all wanted this season to be. We knew it wouldn’t be pretty but young players starting to look good. I mean the royals are s*** but even the sweep in NY was entertaining.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 In case you're wondering, yes, I took Stroman in DFS today. You can expect Plesac, Verlander, and Skaggs to blow up also. Yep, called it lol. If there's any pitchers you guys want me to jinx tomorrow, let me know.

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Bichette will be here no later then August 1st. Assuming he’s healthy. Probably whenever Galvis and Sogard are dealt. I would seriously contemplate re-signing Sogard for another year. You're not going to get anything valuable for him and his stabilizing presence would be good for the younger players one more year. It appears that he's made some sort of an adjustment in his approach at the plate where there is good reason to believe he'll continue to be at least above average moving forward.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted June 30, 2019 Author Posted June 30, 2019 We're u drunk again? When isnt he drunk?? That guy puts me to shame, and I thought I drank a lot
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 What a tool lol. I think you mean STOOL , and not the BAR type , Right ???
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2019 Posted June 30, 2019 Stroman gets an all-star nod and not Ken Giles? Wat
wk680 Verified Member Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Stroman gets an all-star nod and not Ken Giles? Wat both are roughly equally deserving, but with the Jays being at the bottom of the standings you had to figure only one of them would get the nod.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 both are roughly equally deserving, but with the Jays being at the bottom of the standings you had to figure only one of them would get the nod. Far from Equal , like its name sake product is to Sugar !!! But then using that THE NERD is just as equal if compared in that lil group as well and maybe even more deserving too !

Yes now that you mention it, Sogard and Stroman both have 2.0 fWAR (Giles has 1.5).

Ken Giles is a top 3 reliever in baseball. Stroman is not even a top 25 pitcher and his WAR is less than Giles'.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 1, 2019 Posted July 1, 2019 Ken Giles is a top 3 reliever in baseball. Stroman is not even a top 25 pitcher and his WAR is less than Giles'. Stroman's WAR is higher. However, Giles is the one that deserves to be there. Before everyone rants and raves though, it's possible his arm is still not 100% and he may not have been available anyway.

WOW , Liam Hendriks is tied with Giles for 3rd most fWAR amongst relievers so far this season with 1.5....... ETA: Hendriks has an ERA of 1.03 BUT an xFIP of 4.20. Seems his differential between ERA and xFIP is an extreme outlier amongst the top relievers in 2019 to date.
