Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 7 days before getting his hand smashed Vladito was hitting .412...7 days after .152 with the hand guard and swelling....absolutely no correlation. It's all about adjustments and chasing/pressing
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Last 7 games... Grichuk has a wOBA of .400 an ISO of .276 and a wRC+ 154 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We have a good amount of career stats, 7 game sample size means s***, come on spanky

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 If someone posted SSS numbers in a different context, you'd be all over them. Smarten up. I've explained to you numerous times about his splits age etc, we'll see in October bud, his contract will be plus value. Throw some money down, meat?

It's all about adjustments and chasing/pressing Maybe he didn’t want to come out while he’d finally started getting hits to fall in, but yeah a 10 day IL stint would probably have been sensible. This season of all seasons we should be ultra conservative with potential injuries.

We have a good amount of career stats, 7 game sample size means s***, come on spanky You guys are using this game as a sample, lol. Grichuk's career fWAR per 600 PA is 3.3??? How's that for a sample size and he's 27 years old.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Author Posted June 23, 2019 So what does his WAR have to be at the end of the year to justify his contract? Technically only about 1 WAR, but that’s not the point. No one is disputing that his contract isn’t very expensive, the issue many people have with the contract is the length of it and that out of all the potential players to commit to for the future, Grichuk is the one who was locked up.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vlad's swing looks very bad right now
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Guerrero yelling in frustration. Had a hanger first pitch missed it.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vladdie is pulling his head away when he swings
Barkerfan23 Verified Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 I hope they bring back Sogard we wont get much in a trade for him any ducking way
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 So what does his WAR have to be at the end of the year to justify his contract? lol... you can't figure that out on your own?
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Right down the middle to Sogard...all corners to Vlad...seems about right
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vladdie is pulling his head away when he swings Yeah they talked about it earlier his swing is off a bit. He'll adjust he's only 20.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vladdie is pulling his head away when he swings No.. just stop with this stuff. He is just a tad off on timing since he busted his hand. Probably not liking the hand guard making timing just off
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vladdie is pulling his head away when he swings Right down the middle to Sogard...all corners to Vlad...seems about right He had a hanging breaking ball pitch 1 Missec it.

How many people have issue with his contract? A few mouth breathers maybe...
Ex Player Verified Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Yeah they talked about it earlier his swing is off a bit. He'll adjust he's only 20 This is when a good batting coach should notice this, step in and tell him to keep his head down (and his eye on the ball) for as long as possible. If we see Vlad still doing this the next few games we'll know we either have a s***** batting coach, or Vladdie simply isnt listening to him
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 lol... you can't figure that out on your own? You're sad

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 How many people have issue with his contract? A few mouth breathers maybe... 10M per could be used a lot better as it turns out. What was the rush in extending Grichuk for 5 years? Can you explain?
Ex Player Verified Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 No.. just stop with this stuff. He is just a tad off on timing since he busted his hand. Probably not liking the hand guard making timing just off Disagree. To me looks like he's just trying too hard. He hasnt said anything in the news that his hand is still bothering him (at least AFAIK)

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 You're sad I'm sad? He's making 7 million this year, 11 AAV over the entire contract, anything over 1 WAR is + value, and he'll easily exceed that.
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Vladdie is pulling his head away when he swings Why would he tell the media this lmao How do you know how his hand is doc? Takes from your ass.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Why would he tell the media this lmao Ex player's know this, bro!
