Maybe he didn’t want to come out while he’d finally started getting hits to fall in, but yeah a 10 day IL stint would probably have been sensible. This season of all seasons we should be ultra conservative with potential injuries.

Technically only about 1 WAR, but that’s not the point. No one is disputing that his contract isn’t very expensive, the issue many people have with the contract is the length of it and that out of all the potential players to commit to for the future, Grichuk is the one who was locked up.

This is when a good batting coach should notice this, step in and tell him to keep his head down (and his eye on the ball) for as long as possible.

 

If we see Vlad still doing this the next few games we'll know we either have a s***** batting coach, or Vladdie simply isnt listening to him
