Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 Mods are on strike due to our unfair treatment Sounds like you need replacement mods to cover for this, like in the NFL
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2019 Posted May 25, 2019 Interesting enough, they update this guy regularly on ESPN.com. ..and Billy Beane said he needs to get involved with baseball (the guy’s on record for saying he always dreamed of running a bb team), so maybe this isn’t too OT after all

He was on a fangraphs podcast: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/effectively-wild-episode-1371-what-is-sabermetrics/
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 he may never lose again I want to see him and Ken Jennings go at it.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 I want to see him and Ken Jennings go at it. Tiger v. Phil 2.0
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 So he lost just short of Jennings' record? He seemed uncharacteristically muted. I wonder if he bet against himself lol.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Mods please ban He's a notorious gambler. I wouldn't put it past him to throw the match to cash in on a bet against himself!

No. I'm talking about posting spoilers. I already got spoiled by someone on Saturday night when the final jeopardy video leaked but you shouldn't post spoilers without warning.

Jeopardy is the #1 syndicated show and is the middle of the biggest buzz in 15 years.

Jeopardy is the #1 syndicated show and is the middle of the biggest buzz in 15 years. Ok I see what you're saying now. I've been passively following and the episode itself hasn't even aired yet (I thought it had). I saw the spoiler mentioned on Twitter plenty of times and thought that the episode aired last week or something. No one was commenting on it like it was a spoiler or anything, just casually talking about it on Twitter. So I was merely commenting on something that I thought was already well known news. My mistake!

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 He's a notorious gambler. I wouldn't put it past him to throw the match to cash in on a bet against himself! Nah. Don’t think he could make enough gambling to be worth the $$ he’d be losing by not winning. Any sizeable prop bet for Jeopardy would draw scrutiny, so it’d be traced back to him easy enough in all likelihood
