According to Baseball Savant, it looks like the ump has called more non-swinging strikes OUT of the zone for Perez than he's called inside the zone! Twice as many in fact.

Please find your way to the Travis Bergen thread, and own your mistakes.

Thanks.

The kid has pitched 11 innings. That's no where near enough to declare him a crap pitcher. You should own your own mistakes for assessing a players talents based on 11 innings..lol

Right, let's ignore all those innings pitched in MiLB.

11 innings of crap

What runs or homeruns? The offense has been dead cold since the last Oakland series, not exactly much for him to celebrate. He's probably pissed that he's not pitching well, the fact that you think this has anything to do with some ******** rumour that didn't get any traction from the media is hilariously misinformed.

What's hilarious is that you strongly believe that this is just a ******** rumour and has no merit to it. Atkins may have said it, maybe he didn't. Stop acting like you know that it's a given that Atkins didn't talk to someone who may have spilled the beans. His overall judgement hasn't been stellar so far.

Seems to happen to him every PA.

Umps have been brutal all around. I've been watching a lot of out of market games and it seems the umps are worse than ever. It's probably just all the more obvious because they have the pitch-trax thing now though.

So.. When it became publicly known that Atkins is looking to trade Stroman, Sanchez and Smoak, they collectively have been losing their value rapidly.

You just got to love Ross Atkins.

Yeah, I was sorta confused as to why he was being so transparent about it. Gotta be a big distraction for the players to have a major factor in their lives in limbo like that.

No, no it didn't. Things like the strike zone were just considered guidelines rather than rules. Each ump basically called the zone they wanted.

If you want to see old school examples, watch some video of Pat Hentgen in 96 and 97 getting strike calls in the opposite batters box.

This is spot on. I remember hearing in the 90's a lot on broadcasts "The ump has been very consistent with calling that pitch a strike/ball all night" when it was obviously the wrong call.

For sure.. Asset management doesn't seem like it's one of his strongest suits.

What do we think of Biagini this year? Buck and Tabby are slobbering all over his meat-stick.

Bring Maile back in...

Biagini sucks in high leverage situations... Him getting out of it is not the norm.. He will get caught up to.. Give it time. 5-6 inning guy IMO if that long term,,

Probably, he said he "heard it", so that could mean literally anything.

Blue Jays central had a big piece about how they were all on the trade-block. Don't think Rogers would be broadcasting it on the show if it wasn't true.

Eh. He's nothing special - basically a replacement level relief pitcher.

Yeah, I've been sorta lukewarm about him. Many folks assume Shapiro is actually making the GM decisions, but I'm not so sure about that.

As he has said multiple times, Ross has full autonomy on roster decisions.

yes let's ignore all those MiLB innings where he struck out 12.0/9 walking 2.7/9 giving up .4HR/9 with a 1.37 ERA. Those clearly prove he is indeed terrible.

I love how Tabby is questioning if the Twins have enough in their farm system to acquire another SPer if needed......f*** me. Put Biagini's meaty cock back in your throat and stop talking.

Are you a real person?

Not sure what you mean by real? Do you seriously believe Atkins has full 100% autonomy?? This is the most serious I have ever been on this board when I am asking this..

I hate betting against my Jays, but one would have to assume that Berrios will have no problem carving the offense up tomorrow. If the line is decent I'm gonna pound the Twinkies ML.

actually 1 inning of crap where he gave up 2HR and 4 runs. In his other 12 appearances he gave up 1 run.

if we take out the one appearance where he had 5 strikeouts he's sitting at 9ip 4k 5bb

They actually have stats on this. You could go look them up to ensure you're not just talking out your ass - but you won't.
