I probably wouldn't even care tbh but the way he's managing the team so far is really rubbing me the wrong way so any mistake is amplified right now. It's just another example that shows that he doesn't know what he's doing and if you don't agree with that I think it's at least pretty safe to say at this point that he's not the sabremetric disciple he was sold as.

My preference would be for him to bat 4th so that he can lead off the 2nd and get a big standing O, but he can still get a standing O with 1 out in the 2nd.

Agreed. But I haven't seen him display any advanced statistical strategy so far so I'm not sure if it's a matter of simply improving or if he needs to learn what advanced statistics actually are.
