Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Ureña is really trying to make a case for himself. Welp... lol
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 For once Rivera makes the right call and he gets ignored.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Time for Montoyo and Urena to have some words. That was unacceptable.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Rivera actually stops a runner rounding third and he goes right through the stop sign...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 My God that was terrible baserunning.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 If f***ing windmill rivera tells you to stop....you need to f***ing stop. Jesus Christ.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Highlight reel play, right there
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 This is a huge problem around the league. There is a massive disconnect between how virtually every front office approaches the game of baseball in 2019 and the "story" that these veteran broadcasters paint to fans. What you end up with is a bunch of casual fans learning some ridiculous 1980's version of the game that no longer applies because 9/10 MLB teams employ these 60 year old former players who just show up to the ballpark every day and shoot the s***. I don't understand why there isn't a movement to transition a new wave of younger broadcasters into the league. Because the majority of fans would rather listen to old school ex players reminiscing about the good old days, than some nerds analysing spreadsheets. That’s just the way it is, we’re in the minority.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Un-f***ing-real. Honestly, demote him to the minors for that. That's inexcusable.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Flashes of Moises Sierra That gif still makes me laugh every damn time.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Lmao Rivera actually sent him and then stopped, I think Ureña just didn't have enough time to process that and he just kept going.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Pannone throwing until his arm falls off.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Lmao Rivera actually sent him and then stopped, I think Ureña just didn't have enough time to process that and he just kept going. I don’t know about that, it looked like Urena just ignored him.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Lmao Rivera actually sent him and then stopped, I think Ureña just didn't have enough time to process that and he just kept going. Did he, what a fool Rivera is?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Pretty cool Galvis got to extend his streak though,
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 So Rivera was giving the send sign and then changed to stop as Urena rounded third.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 That gif still makes me laugh every damn time. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fCKZXwNJOHk/UGulVSz2JaI/AAAAAAAAEwE/Pkh37yVKgDw/s1600/Sierra-Stopsign.gif
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I still don’t know how Rivera survives all the staff turn over. Did they keep in place just because he was Latin lol.
