He is, but calling out someone on an article about the results of their bold predictions is pretty low man.

 

It's not that the bold prediction was wrong or bad, it's that he's too arrogant to acknowledge that the prediction was wrong, and is claiming to have "spiked" the prediction of Beede being a relevant fantasy starter in 12-team leagues.

Yeah I get it. But it's so irrelevant that I fail to see why you'd bother calling him out on it.

Yup - what you have done is an order of magnitude sadder than what BTS did and the irony is wonderful.

Also Javier Baez isn't a finalist for a GG, despite 15 DRS and 10 UZR.

 

Edit: to be fair, I guess the three other finalists did have pretty elite years themselves, so I guess it's more surprising than anything that a guy with his star value wasn't among the top 3.

Yuli Gurriel is the 2nd finalist for the 1B GG...seemed so wrong until I looked at the AL 1B's after Olson

 

Does it really matter who gets nominated after Olson? He's the Andrelton Simmons of first basemen.

Vlad was legitimately injured. So was Bo. Both of them won't have any case.

His agent put a grievance in the year prior mate, same with FTJ and Eloy Jimenez. I don't believe Bo filed a grievance.

What qualifies as 'being ready'? Vlad and Bryant both destroyed the minors before getting called up. Bryant put up 6 WAR that year, Vlad .4

When is too close to the deadline for an extra year of service? It was 12 days for Bryant, is 20 days to close? Is 25 days? This could just move the goalpost.

 

I think this will be more difficult to legislate than most give it credit for.

I think most don't think they can prove f*** all(this forum and the baseball industry), Bryant was the only obvious manipulation, and I don't think they can prove anything.

Since there is no direct contravention of the BA, Bryant will need to have evidence of improper conduct or commitments made and broken.

It was all speculation. Vlad never actually filed one.

Neither did Tatis Jr. or Jimenez. Jimenez' agent said they might consider it, but none of them actually followed through.

I honestly don't expect anything to come of this. This is a CBA issue, the players made the deal if they don't like it they'll need to make better deals. I'm not so sure they even care to because cases like Bryant are extremely rare. Even when Vlad came up he didn't do anything special.
