The announcer for LAA, just said Trout should win the MVP, but has tough competition in Devers and LeMahieu, he just being nice, right?

 

How many MVP's should Trout have won vs. how many has he actually won? The announcer has seen this s*** go sideways enough times to be cautious.

Two, you're absolutely right, but this season is a huge gap. No one's close.

Betts, Donaldson and Altuve were definitely worthy of winning over Trout, or at least it was close enough. Really the only ones he lost out on that were really bad were Miguel Cabrera in 2012 and 2013.

Combine that with Giolito spearheading their rotation, Kopech coming back, Dane Dunning being back, and I could see them making some noise if they add some pieces this offseason. Rendon or Yasmani Grandal would fit nicely in the south side.

Who is the most underrated player in baseball?

 

Anthony Rendon is high on my list.

 

Rendon is #1. I mentioned to friend (who follows baseball more than your average fan) that I'd love to see the Jays make a big play for him this off season and I could tell he had no idea how good he was. The man is the 4th most valuable player in baseball this year and the 3rd most valuable offensive player over the past 3 years.

 

MLB seemingly promotes him about as well as they do Trout (yes I know Trout doesn't want the marketing - maybe Rendon doesn't either).

Red Sox have 3 top 10 offensive players. That's pretty insane.

 

And who would have thought Xander Bogaerts might end up the best of the 'young SS' group (Seager, Lindor, Correa, Didi, etc.)? I sure didn't think so. Kid is a stud though.

And they have him signed to relative peanuts. He likely would've shattered the $120M extension he got if he hit free agency this offseason.
