Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 The Dodgers D. May just got hit in the head on a liner back to the pitcher. Someone's going to die one day, that was frightening.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 The announcer for LAA, just said Trout should win the MVP, but has tough competition in Devers and LeMahieu, he just being nice, right?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 The announcer for LAA, just said Trout should win the MVP, but has tough competition in Devers and LeMahieu, he just being nice, right? How many MVP's should Trout have won vs. how many has he actually won? The announcer has seen this s*** go sideways enough times to be cautious.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 Freeman's beating Giolito and the WS himself...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Freeman's beating Giolito and the WS himself... And he adds on... 5 steaks and 2 dingers.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 What a s***** way to lose the lead in the 8th.

The announcer has seen this s*** go sideways enough times to be cautious. Betts, Donaldson and Altuve were definitely worthy of winning over Trout, or at least it was close enough. Really the only ones he lost out on that were really bad were Miguel Cabrera in 2012 and 2013.

Laika Community Moderator Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Why was he out skateboarding at 2 in the morning? Probably just skating home from the gastropub on his longboard, dude
Ex Player Verified Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 According to this site 40 people die each year from skateboarding: https://theboardr.com/post/More_Dangerous_Than_Skateboarding Published reports state that an average of 40 people die skateboarding every year. This includes longboarding. The majority of skater fatalities were on public streets and involved a collision with a car. The second cause for death: hillbombs
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 According to this site 40 people die each year from skateboarding: https://theboardr.com/post/More_Dangerous_Than_Skateboarding f***ing is way more dangerous... Sex: According to the study called The Coital Coronary, more than 10,000 people die every year while knocking boots. This staggering number doesn't take into account things like HIV and AIDS either; it's literally lovers keeling over dead from things like heart attacks. Skateboarding remains the safest way to ride 8-inches of wood.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 For those of you in the K-Dub, the Baycats are going to get their six-peat with a sweep of Kitchener tonight in Kitchener if you would like to see some Intercounty baseball.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Lorenzo Cain turned into a pumpkin quickly... Ah, I see he pulled the Jason Heyward. At least he had the decency to give Milwaukee one killer year before doing so.
Frag Verified Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Who is the most underrated player in baseball? Anthony Rendon is high on my list.
Ray Verified Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 The White Sox have a excellent position player core cooking. Luis Robert Yoan Moncada Eloy Jimenez Nick Madrigal Andrew Vaughn Tim Anderson Combine that with Giolito spearheading their rotation, Kopech coming back, Dane Dunning being back, and I could see them making some noise if they add some pieces this offseason. Rendon or Yasmani Grandal would fit nicely in the south side.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Who is the most underrated player in baseball? Anthony Rendon is high on my list. Rendon is #1. I mentioned to friend (who follows baseball more than your average fan) that I'd love to see the Jays make a big play for him this off season and I could tell he had no idea how good he was. The man is the 4th most valuable player in baseball this year and the 3rd most valuable offensive player over the past 3 years. MLB seemingly promotes him about as well as they do Trout (yes I know Trout doesn't want the marketing - maybe Rendon doesn't either).
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 Red Sox have 3 top 10 offensive players. That's pretty insane. And who would have thought Xander Bogaerts might end up the best of the 'young SS' group (Seager, Lindor, Correa, Didi, etc.)? I sure didn't think so. Kid is a stud though.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2019 Posted September 3, 2019 https://www.mlb.com/video/lux-collects-2-hits-in-debut Lux looks like he can hit. Mom is a coug too.

And they have him signed to relative peanuts. He likely would've shattered the $120M extension he got if he hit free agency this offseason.
