Taylor Rogers isn't the problem in Minny, it's the guys behind him, save for Harper. They do need Giles though, that could be a wicked 1-2 punch.

Yankees have the best record in the Majors, their stadium looks half empty on a weekend game.

The demographics of baseball are changing. More people like to consume in a variety of ways

He's definitely not the problem, and I agree he would look great as the 8th inning guy if they acquire Giles.

This season, Mike Trout has moved from 90th to 55th all-time in career WAR.

Trout isn’t even the current player with the highest career WAR on his own team - overrated! /s

Yankees ticket prices through the box office are extremely expensive. Always best to just purchase on StubHub or Vivid Seats. Also, most tickets behind home plate or the dugout are probably corporate owned I imagine.

As well, I'm sure a lot of New Yorkers in the summer months are away at the Hamptons or on vacation. Being in NYC during the summer is dreadful. Would not want to sit outside during an afternoon game anywhere on the East coast lol.

Yankee Stadium is still a bit of a commute from downtown. Not much around the stadium as well, since its in the Bronx. It's not like Fenway or Wrigley that is surrounded by a bunch of bars/restaurants etc. As well, I don't consider Yankee Stadium one of the nicest ballparks in baseball. It's still decent, but nothing special IMO. Citi Field is a lot better.

Another reason could be because Yankees fans are pretty much spread throughout the US and Canada. Not all live in NYC. Thats why when the Yankees visit another ballpark, they're swarmed with Yankees fans.

TLDR... it was well over a 100 fahrenheit... like feels like 52C, who wants to sit in that.

East coast cities like New York, Philly, Washington DC are dreadful in the summer. So humid!

I remember when going to Philly in 2010 to see the Jays play, I couldn't survive through the Sunday afternoon game at 1PM. It was unbearable.

And the entire North east was laid out with a heat/stroke advisory, that game. Hell no.

My buddy posted +53 off his t-stat.

This pitch from Oliver Drake is absolutely f***ing ridiculous.

It's July 22nd and Gerrit Cole has 205 Ks.

It's July 22nd and Ketel Marte has a 142 wRC+

Rays just DFA'd Ian Gibaut who is probably better than any reliever on our roster besides Giles.

Yeah the MLBTR article said they expect to trade him, we definitely should be buying these types of arms.

I should delete this s***** post.

Gotta hand it to the Stro's. They really are in a league of their own as far as the advanced technology goes. Even Wade Miley's been putting up a damn solid year for them. He's pitching a gem against the A's right now too. 8 scoreless innings so far, might a have a chance to go for the complete game shut-out.

KP just ripped a double to give the Giants a 2 run lead against the Cubbies.

Man, this is some run they're on! I'm actually rooting for em. A lot of likable vets on that team and it'd be cool to see Bochy back in the playoffs in his final year. I've been rooting for Pillar, too.

This Twins/Yankees game is insane.

No kidding.

You have to think the Twins at some point are going to pull the trigger on Giles/Greene.

Rodgers is a heck of a pitcher, but he would look much better as the set-up guy.

This is exactly why I think the Twins are the team to trade Giles (and maybe Stroman) to. It's not everyday that a team has the offense they currently do, let alone a smaller market team. They are a couple pieces away from being legitimate World Series contenders. Leverage that.

Agreed. Plus they have the pieces to acquire both Stro and Giles . Build a deal around Graterol/Balazovic & Kiriloff. I feel like I've said that half a dozen times this week, I'm going to speak it into existence.
