Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, nothing was stirring except the tapping of the keys on Charlie Danger's laptop. This is your one wish for the Blue Jays 2019 season. I am keeping mine simple but also combining two. a) Ryan Borucki to be in the top 10 pitchers in the AL (So Ryan, the Jays do well and I can say Danger told you so;) I want the following players to be on the ML roster/sticking on it and contributing (mainstays) prior to September: (Assuming Jansen breaks camp and Vlad the baseball impaler is up in April) Bichette, Biggio, McGuire, Telez and Alford. That is all. I would also like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Sincerely, everyone of you, I have no dislike for anyone on this board, and I enjoy you all and wish you all the best! The Danger family.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 Moar good prospects to be gathered.
Maine Jays Verified Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 1) Find Russ a new home on a playoff contender. He deserves one last chance at a ring. 2) For Marcus to develop permanent laryngitis. Oh, and to be banned from Twitter. Oh, and for him to win his first ten starts and be traded for a boatload of prospects. 3) For the Rockies to decide that Pillar is the centerpiece they need to a Jon Gray deal. 4) Morales to decide to retire, freeing up DH for Hernandez and Tellez.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 (edited) - raid the Padres for anything we can get. Specifically Pillar, Giles, Stroman for Paddack, Allen, Patino. - trade Aaron Sanchez + for Jon Gray - keep Russ Martin around as a super utility/backup C/mentor for Jansen - DFA Kendrys Morales - see Cavan Biggio as 2B some time this year - Ryan Noda turns into someone even more Goldschmidtty than he already is - Sign Bryce Harper for 10/340 - Sign David Robertson or Cody Allen (or both) for 3/25 - DFA Luke Maile - send Teoscar Hernandez to AAA forever E: before anyone says s***, it's a Christmas list. Don't tell me none of you guys wished for a rocketship when you were kids. Edited December 24, 2018 by Boxcar
Superdood Verified Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 1) Vlad turns into a complete monster and a top 10 player in MLB, cruising to a rookie of the year award. 2) Pillar gets moved out for young controllable assets before his defense becomes even more of a liability in CF. 3) Stroman gets dumped off before the season for a couple of top 100ish prospects. I feel like he's more of a distraction than he's worth, especially with all the young players coming up. 4) The Jays are a bottom 10 team with a nice high draft pick next season. I want them to be fun to watch though(Similar to the Vancouver Canucks in the NHL, yeah i'm on the west coast. Sorry Leafs bros ) 5) Morales either spontaneously combusts or gets hurt all season so I don't need to watch him play way too much. I'm sure there's more but these were what came to mind right away.
leaffie Verified Member Posted December 24, 2018 Posted December 24, 2018 My list for Santa Morales never starts for the jays again. Gurriel proves he is a major league SS Devon Travis plays healthy all year Vlad starts opening day (never mind the extra year ) Pillar gets traded Stroman gets traded Sanchez pitches injury free for the Jays And most important that the Jays are better in 2019 than they were in 2018, and that each game they play is fun to watch, win or lose, not the incredibly boring team they have been the last couple of years. Merry Christmas to all the Jays fans!!!
Rusty_Savage Verified Member Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 -Productive years from all our noteworthy prospects -Get max value for guys that won't be around in 21-22 -That Montoyo gets some dental work done now that he can afford it
The Iceman Verified Member Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Devon Travis gets traded away to free up 2nd base for one of the kids. Jays go with McGuire and Janson behind the plate all season. We sign 3-4 RPs to single year deals and they build their value to get sold off at the trade deadline. Alford gets his sh!t together and settles in at CF Stro and Sanchez return to ACE calibre and provide a 1-2 punch at the top of the rotation to be as good as any other team in MLB. Bichette or Smith take another development jump and give the Jays a legit top SS.

I would rather trade them while we have some value...
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
