Another BORED thread - giant dispersal draft version

We have 2-3 teams available this offseason, and the league has voted almost unanimously to hold an optional dispersal draft. So there will be a dispersal draft for the assets held by the teams going to the 2 or 3 new owners, but the draft will be open to any team in the league, so we expect there to be 5-10 teams participating in this. Our forum hasn't had any new dynasty leagues in a few years, so if you've been wanting to start a team completely from scratch, you should get in on this.

 

The league is a 20-team dynasty entering year 4. We have 25-man rosters, 12-man farms, and 7x7 head-to-head scoring, and we use Yahoo. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here or send me a pm.

 

Any complaints about me starting another thread about this should be directed to our moderation team. I'll be sure to carefully review your grievances.

I can’t believe I’m going to defend jaysblue, but flags fly forever. He got into the playoffs, and 12 teams didn’t. From there he took care of business. Full credit.

It was a fluke.

 

There was a lot of luck on my side, won't deny that. Sometimes you need that to win a Championship. My team greatly underachieved during the regular season and I just snuck into the playoffs. Looking at my roster on paper, I wasn't your typical 8th place team, so I wouldn't say it was a fluke. My squad got hot at the right time and took care of business in September.

Give credit to jaysblue for building a core of Harper-FF-Acuna that should be excellent for years to come. Jaysblue is always one of out most successful GMs whether you like him or hate him. I’ve never been in a dynasty league where he wasn’t in the upper class.

Love me some fantasy ball; unfortunately I don’t have the time to invest in a dynasty team anymore. That being said, I am curious now; can us not in the loop posters see the rosters— Im kinda dying to see this champion level young core. 🤓

I did inherit some of those guys like Harper and Acuna from Chappy, so credit to him for building a solid young core and farm system originally. When I took over his team in August during that first season, I did trade off some veterans and turned them into guys like Aaron Nola, Puig, high draft picks etc. Also, traded Porcello for Grandal and traded a lot to get Madison Bumgarner that following offseason (Hosmer, James Paxton, Neil Walker +). Judge breaking out for me in 2017 was huge since that gave me a Top 10-15 asset which I used to get Freeman from you this summer.
