Mark Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Hey All, Not sure if this is appropriate to post here so apologies if not. A long time buddy of mine passed away recently and I'm trying to raise money for his wife by selling his collection. He had over 100 autographed balls from recent Jays to rookies and also a bunch of old gems - Rickey Henderson, Dave Winfield, Dave Stieb etc. Many of them COA. Official first pitch and first hit of 2016 balls (Archer to Pillar in Tampa). There are a few signed bats, caps, a framed signed Donaldson jersey and a framed signed Martin jersey, baseball cards, tons of miscellaneous stuff. If you're interested DM me and I can send a list. I've been offered some lowball numbers for the collection (yeah I know it's a bad time to sell). But if I have to let items go for Donaldson-esque trade value numbers, I'd rather they get into the hands of real fans like us. ALSO: I'm looking for a serious fan who can fit into 4XL or 5XL jerseys and T-shirts. And/or takes a size 8 hat. I don't expect to sell these - I just want to find them a good home... Cheers Mark

Mark Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 It’s a great collection. I wish I had space for it. And yup. He was a big guy in every way. You’ve probably heard his heckles

Todd Van Anus Verified Member Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Are individual items for sale or only the entire collection to one buyer?
tercet Verified Member Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Sorry to hear, I'm pretty sure I know who it is based of the heckling and large size of the individual you mentioned. This person attended alot of games back in 06-10, I saw him alot when I had the Jays Pass.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 Sorry to hear about your friend's passing. Best of luck with the sale.
TBJ12 Verified Member Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 When you worked as an usher. Why you gotta bring this s*** into every thread?
leaffie Verified Member Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 I dont know exactly where you are located, but I would contact some of the auction houses that hold sports auctions. They will give you an auction estimate for the entire collection, plus, will tell you if there is an individual piece that they will separate out to sell separately. If they accept items or entire collection, you can ship them there insured by ups etc.
