bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 how is rivera still on the team at this point
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Atkins is on for another half inning if you want to listen.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 He said they believe one of Grichuk, Teoscar, Drury likely breaks out similar to Edwin or JB (maybe not quite to that level).
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 They internally rank the Jays system as the 3rd best in MLB.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 And another terrible send how is rivera still on the team at this point There were 2 outs with the pitcher on deck
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 They internally rank the Jays system as the 3rd best in MLB. Isn't that, more or less, where it's ranked externally?
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 I like how they are trying to explain how things work to the dummies on the broadcast.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 And another terrible send how is rivera still on the team at this point C'mon guys, SRF was up next so it was definitely worth the gamble.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Atkins predicts 2019 to be “tough”. That’d support the theory that payroll reduction is one of the reasons they didn’t want to QO Donaldson.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Atkins predicts 2019 to be “tough”. That’d support the theory that payroll reduction is one of the reasons they didn’t want to QO Donaldson. Anyone have the quote from him here?
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Isn't that, more or less, where it's ranked externally? Yeah we’re ranked 3-5 most places depending on who’s doing the ranking.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Is Danny Jansen really SRF's kryptonite?
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Is Danny Jansen really SRF's kryptonite? I'd like to actually to filter for SRF starts with Jansen to actually see if it's factual beyond the eye test. I wish there was an easy way to do it.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Anyone have the quote from him here? He mentions it in this interview with Arash Madani. Just says it will be difficult to compete next year. https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/atkins-believes-blue-jays-will-extremely-competitive-3-years/

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Is Danny Jansen really SRF's kryptonite? It's probably just noise. Jansen does do a weird thing with his glove right prior to the pitch though, moving it a lot (I think to relax his hand), which may be a distraction for some pitchers.

I wish there was an easy way to do it. Jansen will probably catch his next start, depending if it falls on a night/day pairing again, where Jansen caught the night before. We'll see..

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Don't fall apart now kid.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 C'mon guys, SRF was up next so it was definitely worth the gamble. It looked bad, but I agree with the pitcher coming up you should take the aggressive approach.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Good stuff SRF, this start should really build his confidence.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Excellent job SRF.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 It's only the Marlins, but at least he's doing stuff that you expect him to. Plus the command has looked much better today.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 1BB 9K (1ER) through 6 is a breath of fresh air for this starting staff.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 Excellent job SRF. This is the guy that was getting #2 SP ceiling hype from publications in 2016, before last season lowered his prospect status.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 Holy s***, he's coming back out...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 2, 2018 Author Posted September 2, 2018 This is the guy that was getting #2 SP ceiling hype from publications in 2016, before last season lowered his prospect status. Yes, I'm aware mate.
