Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Man, so close. That would have made things interesting.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Damn, Jansen just missed it, a few more feet.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Man, so close. That would have made things interesting. This deGrom/Hamels pitching match has been fun to watch. Sheeeeit, Hamels out now after this PH.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Well, if you're gonna plunk Villar, his feet are probably the best spot to do it.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Definitely out, good throw!
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Now this is much more enjoyable.
tercet Verified Member Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Remember when Gurribabip had a 450 babip in July and you guys all thought he was good at beisboll? bahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Well, that train derailed pretty quick.
Barkerscousin Verified Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Back to Back wild pitches bring in a run Wow, this is some pretty terrible baseball by this team.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Back to Back wild pitches bring in a run Wow, this is some pretty terribly baseball by this team. It could be worse. Check out the inning the Marlins are having atm! 11 runs scored, and Benintendi made all 3 outs (DP and sacrifice bunt).
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Remember when there was thought of Tepera being a ninth inning man?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Remember when there was thought of Tepera being a ninth inning man? Pretty sure most of us didn't think that.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Pretty sure most of us didn't think that. Not really this board, media types.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Morales has to be the slowest runner in the history of the game. Grichuk on fire. I like him in CF next year.
Barkerscousin Verified Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Its been absolutely a crazy bad here. Grichuk is our best overall player now, 111 WRC+.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Grichuk on fire. I like him in CF next year. He has had such a turnaround since his post-DL stint. Since June 1st he's hitting at 132 wRC+ but most encouraging is his K rate is down to 21.8%. Not crazy BABIP levels either at .299 which is around his career norm (.303). Overall for the season he now sitting at 111 wRC+, 1.3 WAR. Not bad for Leon/Green. Diaz trade is even better considering J.B. Woodman got released.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Morales has to be the slowest runner in the history of the game. Grichuk on fire. I like him in CF next year. There's actually 8 players slower than Morales this year(not that your point isn't well made, he is slow as f***). 5 catchers, 1 DH and 2 1B. Pujols is the slowest.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I think Molina would give him a run for his money. Bengie or Jose?

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Bengie or Jose? You could probably add both of them together and get their brother lol.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Yeah, but Pujlos' legs are literally broken. He says, while discussing the player who lost a year due to a broken ankle.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I'm really enjoying Billy McKinney's approach at the plate. Seems like he can hold his own vs LHP.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Poor Gurribabip regressing to the mean, would have been nice if he could keep up his 450babip from July. Remember that time I showed you the math on Gurriel in accordance with his exit velo and babip and he was actually unlucky, while at the same time you were on Travis' nuts during a temporary hot streak and I showed you his babip was incredibly high and unsustainable during his hot streak and then you tucked your dick and ran from the thread? Good times. Just gonna start calling you terdicktuck https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/expected_statistics?type=batter&year=2018&position=&team=TOR&min=100

Good times. Just gonna start calling you terdicktuck Gurriel is actually underperforming his xWOBA by about 0.020. His batted ball profile is excellent, tons of line drives and he's rarely popped the ball up in his brief stint. He's killed the ball like 4 times in this game alone.
