gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Pillar's RBI single, and he just did it again, Urena tossed out at the plate on a basehit? Are you watching the game? Teo's lead off double was followed by Martin swinging at the first pitch and grounding out to third. Urena's lead off double was followed by Granderson popping out into foul territory along the third base line. Both approaches didn't resemble trying to hit the ball hard to the right side. Like i said, horrible execution from professional ball players.

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I see the GDT is absolutely lit tonight.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I see the GDT is absolutely lit tonight. I believe this is a season-low, actually. Not a single, solitary person gives even one whole flying f*** about this game, evidently.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Ruh-Roh... O'Hearn just hit a missile off Giles.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I believe this is a season-low, actually. Not a single, solitary person gives even one whole flying f*** about this game, evidently. Giles trying to make the game interesting for those barely paying attention. Respect.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Keep throwing that slider over and over kid. Got away with another hanger.. Kid has mental problems.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Ah yes, Alcides Escobar, known for his extra base pop. Thanks Pat.
tercet Verified Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 I've never really watched Giles much in the past, but does he always hang so many sliders? Pretty much every outing so far with the jays like half of his sliders are hangers, ugh. He got away with them last night, but now he got punished.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Giles gives up some bombs. His slider was just up tonight.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Granderson gives the GOAT athlete interviews, such a well spoken guy.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Giles has excellent control, but poor command or a poor grasp of pitching. Far too many pitches are down the middle. If he could start that slider in the zone and have it end up out of the zone and hit the corners a bit more with his fastball then we might start to see his ERA match his FIP. As things stand now, he's always going to give up a lot of hard contact.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 But he's equal to Osuna. He is, but don't let those less than 7 innings of unsustainable HR/FB performance keep you from making garbage uninformed posts.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Keep throwing that slider over and over kid. Got away with another hanger.. Kid has mental problems. He's literally a two-pitch pitcher, he's gonna throw the slider a lot as a result, the same pitch that's a swinging strike machine for him. If you expect him to mix it up with a vulcan change and a 12-6 curve I got news for you.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 He is, but don't let those less than 7 innings of unsustainable HR/FB performance keep you from making garbage uninformed posts. How is it garbage. You just agreed with me that they're equal. Besides....why do the rest of his 2018 innings get erased?

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 It's still pouring at Kauffman.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Danny Jansen is such a beaut, awesome two-strike approach.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Diaz almost lost his face... Wow was that close.
baubau Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 I thought Diaz was having a terrible season but he has 99 wRC+ and 1.1 fWAR overall. A lot better than I thought.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Not sure what Diaz is doing there, maybe his life is still flashing before his eyes after that AB
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Jeeze Diaz, don't even bother to slide?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
