Haha likely not

Yeah it would be like that time I shoveled my neighbour's driveway as a kid as an act of good will, got tired and greedy then asked if he wanted his driveway shoveled. He said sure and I said "well I already did it" and he never asked me to shovel his driveway again

We recorded this rather short episode, not enough for a standalone so it's Episode 21.5: Brought to you by EGO Lawnmowers

Hope y'all enjoy

This feels like one of those “behind the scene episodes that should never be posted for public viewing” that guys post for their patreon supporters just for a good laugh.

We literally had half an episode of complaining about Home Depot, and then a Alan turns around and goes makes an expensive purchase, his dream kickass lawn mower that cost half a monthly mortgage payment on live broadcast.

I also died when Alan started belching.

Fun fact, I actually got rejected for the Home Depot credit card, lol. They must require you to be a millionaire lawyer or something.

You should've had Nick sign off as your guarantor.

In case you guys are wondering, I got the mower and holy f***.

I moved in late April, and the previous owners has not mown in awhile. I didn't mow until this past weekend. Grass was basically knee high. My EGO destroyed everything on one charge. I harvested almost 4 bushels of grass clippings. Amazing product and I'll be getting their string trimmer shortly.

I bought the trimmer last summer. Works great. Bought the mower about a month ago. Love it. I have a decent sized yard and it drains like a quarter of the charge. I'll likely get the leaf blower one day when my gas one finally craps out. The hedge clippers look promising too.

Was raining and s***** today so I'll report on the results tomorrow.

That's cool... sorry gas owner on all products, save for a hedge clipper.

Used to have a battery Toro trimmer like a 15 years ago. Battery was s***. Could never get the entire yard done before the charge died. Then went to gas...until it just died last spring. Figured 15 years of technologic advances with respect to batteries should've improved the duration. It did. When my mower died thought I'd give the EGO a shot as well. Not cheap, but the reviews were generally very good so I took the plunge. Not disappointed at all. It sounds like a hair dryer, so if you're into the manly sounds of a combustion engine it will take a little getting used to, but the performance has been very solid thus far.

Was what free? The trimmer was 240 bucks. It works just as well as a gas trimmer while being lighter, more user friendly and quiet.

This week's episode has dropped!

Join us as we detail the first 10 rounds of the draft. Spoiler alert: we pretty much love the draft for the Blue Jays - there was a slew of interesting selections made. We are joined by our new regional crosschecker and staff writer Linc, aka BlueRocky. We also discover that, yes, Corbin Carroll is Asian. You're going to want to listen to this one.

This episode was really fun.

Lots of BJ draft talk and had a segment on Captain Kirk.

Thought I talked a little bit too much on recording but it seemed pretty balanced overall, mad props to the great editing work. Had second thoughts about hearing my own voice, thought it would be more cringey.

My mic could’ve been a bit closer though I’ll keep that in mind for next time.

Thanks Alan and Mike for the invitation!

You did a great job Bluerocky, we can tell you knew your stuff.

But when you rated the Jays draft an A you failed.

Haha thanks for that.

Interestly this came out a few days after that recording: https://www.mlb.com/news/best-hauls-of-the-2019-mlb-draft

Jim Callis says the Blue Jays were one of the 7 teams with the best drafts this year.

Considering teams that didn't have any extra picks (10 picks in 10 rounds).

Probably not as good as the Mets, but better than the Reds.

To be honest, the grade A is a bit homer-ish, but you can argue anywhere between B to A.

We signed multiple difficult to sign guys (including Philip Clarke) and basically ended up with two first-round talents on day 1.

Not to mention the cape cod standout bats we signed all have upside, and I might be especially high on Dasan Brown (age), Will Robertson (bat) and Cameron Eden (tools).

Also Boxy is really f***ing dumb when it comes to the draft.

I love the forced Tallywhacker joke that just died flat.

I don't know why, but it was edited. In the moment, when the timing wasn't f***ed with, it actually got some laughs. I had a back and forth with BlueRocky to set it up and then, 'boom' - hit 'em with the punchline. But you probably had to be there.

Yeah a couple things were edited out, but probably because the pod was getting a little bit too lengthy. John did a great job making us sound like we were mostly on track (Thanks John). We ranted a lot, steered away from draft topics, and I also personally stumbled a few times and had a few bloopers.

Like we laughed about how Orioles GM’s mic was messed up and he didn’t have a chance to talk about his no. 1 overall pick Adley Rutschman, and more elaboration why the draft show is bad and how they could improve it. I added some stuff to the Kirk discussion (I think) about how good his numbers were in Lansing and Dunedin, most of the stuff that made the cut were talking about his defense.

We also had like a good 30 min discussion of various Blue Jays prospects after the recording ended that never made the cut, stuff like Gabriel Moreno, Riley Adams, Nate Pearson, Gurriel Jr’s production in LF (& how his ideal development would’ve been similar to Tim Anderson)
