I think they were planning to use him and DFA but they might let him start 5 days from now.

 

I don't think so. They said the reason he didn't start the game was to make it a little less stressful after a hectic few days. That doesn't suggest a one and DFA type situation to me.

I don't think so. They said the reason he didn't start the game was to make it a little less stressful after a hectic few days. That doesn't suggest a one and DFA type situation to me.

 

We have a 2 man bench so no matter what a pitcher is being moved off the roster. They did this for the bullpen game I believe. I could be wrong but we don’t have a backup OF. And running a 2 man bench sounds dumb.
